After a pleasant day spent at an Equestrian food festival, Sunset Shimmer and her girlfriend, Sonata Dusk, return home to the human world, only to be quickly followed by an out of breath Twilight Sparkle. Once handed a mysterious crate by the flustered princess, Sunset and Sonata find that all of their deepest inner feelings are put on display.

Sunset Shimmer decides that being goth would be way cooler than being a popular girl, but she finds something out from Aria.

It isn't.

A month or so after the Battle of the Bands, Principal Celestia calls Sunset Shimmer and friends to her office, for a long-overdue discussion.

Edited and smoothed over with help from the ever-patient Little Jackie Papercut.

Similar to the tantabus that had haunted Princess Luna for so long, Sunset too has something she had created to punish herself for her wrong doings. But it has finally pushed her over the edge, and she's not sure if friendship can help her this time.

Lately, tons of people on the internet have been referring to Sunset Shimmer as their "waifu". She's caught wind of it, but she's confused. What's a "waifu", and why is everyone saying she's better than other "waifus"?

Twenty two years after their defeat at the hands of the Rainbooms, Adagio has lost contact with her former cohorts. However, when she receives shocking news, she tracks down one of them for another meeting...
