Braeburn's visit to see his relatives in Ponyville doesn't go quite as he expected. After discovering that he doesn't have a Special Somepony, Applejack resolves to fix this problem - by having Braeburn try to date each of her friends, in hopes things will click between one of them and her cousin.

Unfortunately, the road to Tartarus is paved with good intentions, and the poor stallion finds himself being roped into one disaster after another. Bear attacks, wearing a fancy suit, and a near death experience are just a few of the challenges he soon finds himself facing. Will Braeburn succeed in finding a Special Somepony to call his own? Or will Applejack's attempts to help her cousin only make things worse for him? The answer may surprise everypony.

A "new" stallion arrives in Ponyville and is trying to stay out of sight. Too bad he runs directly into Pinkie Pie. Why is he running? Who is he hiding from? Can he possibly remain unseen while caught in the wake of hurricane Pinkie? More importantly, is running away the true answer to his problems? A story of learning from your mistakes, being willing to put your past blunders behind you, and never forgetting those who support you through thick and thin.

Even after finding out that she may or may not have been related to the Apple Family, Pinkie Pie has always had a strong crush on Applejack's cousin Braeburn, and misses him dreadfully. With herself, Soarin and Scootaloo due for a vacation, Rainbow Dash, now on maternity leave, takes pity on the pink-furred party pony and arranges for the four of them to spend a few days in Appleloosa.

But thanks to a grave error on the part of Applejack, none of them realise that Braeburn is coming to Ponyville. Now, she and Caramel must do their utmost to keep Braeburn from finding out - but will they be able to stall him long enough for Pinkie Pie to get home? Or will the two of them remain separated forever?
