The Rainboom happens as it should, and a few certain fillies earn their cutie marks because of it. Except little Pinkamena Diane Pie, who went inside before she could witness it. Thus, she never left the rock farm.

That meant she wasn't in Ponyville to throw that party that inspired a runaway colt named Cheese Sandwich.

However, the two end up meeting in adulthood, and the broke wanderer Cheese takes a job at the rock farm, and works alongside the grumpy Pinkamena and her family.

My take on an AU, created upon realizing that Cheese Sandwich was indirectly affected by the Sonic Rainboom. And in case you're wondering, the whole eternal night thing goes the same way as the show (except a different mare--whoever you imagine--wields the Element of Laughter).

The dream may continue on, as Scootaloo gets heartbreaking news about Rainbow Dash getting accepted to the Wonderbolts academy.

Rainbow Dash has always been fond of Scootaloo, cheering her on from the sidelines and admiring her with almost religious reverence. But when her parents are absent from the talent show Rainbow Dash learns that this is in fact a common occurrence and begins to suspect that there's more to the filly than she originally thought. She takes it upon herself to find out the truth and help her number one-fan.

Derpy loves her daughter more than life itself. She always looks forward to when her little filly will come home with a wide smile across her face, but what can she do when there is no smile? What can she say when the young pony's bright eyes are blackened and bruised? Sometimes, a mother's wings are all she can offer; sometimes, that's not enough.
