Life is going well for Diamond Tiara. Her family is rich, her parents are nice, she has at least one friend who appreciates money like she does, and now that her parents leave for one whole weekend, she has a whole villa for herself and Silver Spoon. Except that Silver Spoon is also gone for the weekend, and Diamond's parents don't trust her being alone. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but when they decide to leave her over with some old friends of the family, who are also a tadbit poorer than what she's used to, everything just may go south.

Now, Diamond Tiara is stuck for two nights in a room with a pony she hates, and not only is this problematic in that she despises the Apple Family, but also that she has secrets she'd rather not let anypony know.

When the Cutie Mark Crusaders have a slumber party at Sweetie Belle's house, their antics and trouble making causes secrets to be found out. How will the other Crusaders react to each other's secrets? Only time will tell.

Some time has passed since the Queen of Changelings was turned into a foal by a magical pond of water.
Shining is still suspicious towards the whole thing, but his heart has opened up and he now loves Crystal as his own. He suffering horrible nightmares where Chrysalis comes back and it turns out that she only tricked him.
Little Crystal is also suffering from nightmares. Her nightmare consists of a giant eyeball staring down at her and telling her things she can’t understand.

Now we follow the happy family in their struggle to find peace and simply live their lives as a happy family.

But something powerful is lurking in the shadows and that can only lead to more troubles.
