After the Fall Formal, Sunset remains as proud and stubborn as she's always been. But unfortunately for her, the students at CHS aren't going to keep letting her walk all over them. Highjinks ensue, and Sunset finds she'll have to give friendship a try; whether she wants to or not.

This is a re-telling of Sunset's adventure towards redemption. Major canon divergence. SciSet is endgame, with background WallTrix.

This story is inspired by "Long Road To Friendship" by The Albinocorn so there will certainly be some similarities, but I think you'll find that I take it in a different direction

Coin Slot, a slaver in the Equestrian Wasteland, is making just a regular sale when something a few miles away explodes violently. Deciding to check it out, she discovers a strange weapon of unknown origin that seems to mesmerize its targets. There are... drawbacks to this weapon, however, and its discovery soon leads Coin down a chain of events that will change her morals, lifestyle, and even her very soul... provided that she manages to survive. Will the friends she makes be enough to convince her that her slaving ways are immoral? Or will they just reinforce the belief that that is one of the best ways to survive After the End?

Sent on a fool's errand by her father, the king, she strives to not only succeed in it, but turn the world upside down as she goes along. With a growing company of dynamic--and dangerous--mares, she is well on her way to success with this.

Sunset and her friends are now young adults. Ever since their high school days have ended, they all got their own part-time jobs and either live in their own houses or share a couple of them with each other. But peace and tranquility will have to wait, as one day, the electricity goes haywire and strange logos appear on every single electronic screen. Sunset and her friends trace the source to an abandoned factory where another group of young adults are gathered. Apparently, according to them, this has happened before.

When you are given a second chance do you waste that opportunity?

Twilight Sparkle returns to the human world following her conversation with Sunset. She's not sure what she's looking for.

The 45 Seals of Equestria, a mystical lock created by Starswirl the Bearded to seal away an ancient evil has begun to unlock piece by piece. As Starswirl, aided by Princesses Celestia and Luna, journey to find the pony responsible and re-seal the prison for all eternity, the ancient evil locked away has already begun to create an apocalypse for Equestria. With Twilight and her friends at a loss for options, it would seem that Equestria is meeting it's final days at the hands of the most cataclysmic event in it's history.

Pinkie doesn't tell ponies about Pinkamena and Surprise. The doctors said that they were bad for her, that they were a disease, but she disagrees. Sure, Pinkamena's a bit of a grumpy-pants, but she's still a great friend! She's often the voice of reason to counter-act some of the other two's crazier ideas, after all. Surprise, on the other hand, is a great prank-player, and always up for some fun. She's more like Pinkie, only more hyper. Both are great fun to be around, and they get on well.

Thing is, she knows that if she told ponies about them, then they would be dragged back to the hospital. And then be 'treated' again. None of them want that. Because of this, not even her best not-in-head friends know about them. The three of them have, for years now, been careful enough to keep the existence of Pinkamena and Surprise secret.

This has, of course, gone out the window now that Twilight is hammering on the door after overhearing one third of a conversation, with no sign of anyone else talking.

Hints of F/F shipping inside. Nothing will actually come of it here, though. Maybe in a future story.

When the Princess refused Sunset Shimmer the reward which was her right as a pony of talent and excellence, Sunset was determined. She would prove her mentor wrong, she would prove her worth, prove her worth as a pony and as a princess in her own right. The Mirror offered promises. It promised Sunset many things.

The Mirror lied.

The land that laid beyond the Mirror was barbaric beyond all her worst expectations. Ape-like beings strode through this world, arrogant, violent, vicious beyond anything in Sunset's experience. Slavers, savages, brutes, carnivores.

They put her in chains like cattle, and told her she was livestock. Then the brutes tried to give her as a gift to those whom even brutes feared, to the eastern savages. To a people who said there were only two things in this world: those that ride, and those that are ridden.

And so if she has any hope of ever proving herself worthy of being a person again, Sunset Shimmer would have to show that she could be one who rides - that she is...
