Fluttershy comes back home after a long day, but one last surprise is waiting for her

This story is a sequel to More Than Trust

After the happenings of More Than Trust, Discord must learn to deal with his new state and manage his relationship with Fluttershy. The latter is easy, but the former is something that he hadn't even thought about handling. It's rough, but that's okay. Fluttershy's there to help him.

She's always there.

However, no amount of comfort from Fluttershy has been able to quell it. It feels familiar, but it's a stranger to him.

Is it right to hide it from his love, or could she be hurt in the process of keeping such a secret?

Weeks have past since Tirek had been defeated. Life in Ponyville is back to normality, and Discord couldn't be happier, especially given the fact that all of his friends had forgiven his betrayal.

However, lately he's noticed that Fluttershy doesn't act like herself. She's constantly tired, a bit moody, and overall just not-Fluttershy. She claims to be fine, but Discord is done hearing that excuse.

And he will find out what's wrong. He has to...

Hearts and Hooves day is coming up and Discord has decided to take Fluttershy's advice to start doing something good for ponies. So he decides to pair each pony from the main 6 up with somepony, but when it comes Fluttershy, things get a bit difficult.
This can only end well.

Edit: I'm sorry, but I unpublished and am currently re-writing the 3rd chapter. It just didn't feel right. It came out too blunt, boring and just confusing.

Discord And Fluttershy are getting close again, since it has been over a year since Discord threw away their friendship. Determined to set things right, he tries to make it up to her. Yet everytime he is around her, he feels something spark inside of him, and he knows what it is, but he denies this new feelings. Fluttershy, who also is having conflicts, accidentaly made a peep about liking somepony. Her friends won't let her keep it a secret, and Fluttershy is scared of their judgement if she tells him who this special 'somepony' is. Will their friendship blossom into something more?

Ignorance, cruelty and superstition pervade through the beautiful Equestrian city of Maris. Her ruler a radiant beauty with a heart as cold as the ice that strips the body of love and warmth, exploiting these evils, persecuting the gypsies and opposing any mode of progress. Unto this city comes a young gypsy-mare of humble beginnings, wrongfully accused of witchcraft and murder, and only the deformed bell ringer of Notre Mare Cathedral can save her.

What would happen, if Discord, Lord of Chaos, held a bi-weekly poker round with Mongol Warlord Genghis Khan, Roman Emperor Caligula, German Poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Greek Philosopher Socrates?

You'd think their conversations would be pretty interesting, with a clear distinction between madness, savagery, reason and poetry, right? Well, you'd be right, but probably not in the way you thought.

Now what do you think would happen, if for some reason they had their poker night at Fluttershy's house?

Set directly after the Tirek incident, Fluttershy and Discord are suffering, alone and apart. Fluttershy may have forgiven him, but she feels that she has failed her friend, and longs to understand Discord. Why wasn't she good enough, why did he betray them? Why hadn't he cherished their friendship as much as she had?

Discord, on the other hand, struggles from the pain of his own guilt, and doesn't even know who he is anymore. He doesn't want to lose the closest friend he has either, but he's positive that their relationship will never be the same again. He can't stand it.

They're falling apart, and the magic of the earth isn't happy about it. Then a cloaked stranger comes into the picture, and plants a mysterious flower...

Fluttershy only utters a simple request. "I wish I could understand you, Discord..."

Little does she know that such a wish entails much more than just an understanding...and her wish is granted in the most chaotic of ways--and the only one who can help her is the very friend she is trying to understand.
