Even the smallest magical accidents, as anyone in the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad can tell you, can have significant and far-reaching effects.

Especially if it wasn't Accidental Magic at all, but deliberate magic that was doing something that wasn't intended at all. Like, for example, the very trustworthy ancient magic of Hogwarts suddenly choosing to invite about fifty times as many students in one year as it usually does.

Naturally, when these small yet significant magical accidents happen, there is almost always someone that doesn't want it corrected for some reason or another. In this case, that someone is in a position of power, so it doesn't get corrected.

And over ten of thousand new students are officially admitted to Hogwarts in a single year. After all, these new students bring with them stories of things thought and even known to be completely impossible, in some cases, and the complete conviction that they are possible where they come from, wherever that is.

Naturally, Dumbledore expected that someone would make them possible. What he did not expect was the who and the how.

A rewrite and reimagining of the once-popular On the Implications of Parallel Worlds, which was itself a rewrite and reimagining of The Gate. This time around, it should be a little easier to avoid deadlocking the plot.

When Princess Celestia tasks the Mane Six with reforming the Spirit of Chaos, they aren't exactly thrilled about it. However, they are still determined to try... even if most think it isn't worth the time or effort.

But when they free him, Discord has other plans. He transports them to another universe, another world, locking away many of their memories and leaving them in a strange and different world in forms they aren't familiar with and their elements drained.

But luckily, Friendship really is magic, and there are those in this world who are ready and willing to help the Mane Six restore their memories, and the Elements of Harmony, so that they can return home.

And if their absence in one world and presence in another causes some chaos? Well, then a certain Chaos spirit is perfectly happy with that!

This story is a revision of my original idea. The original idea never made it here, but I tweaked it to something I'm happier with.

There are many words that can describe the equine force of nature that is Pinkie Pie: loud, fast, bouncy, hyperactive, wild, frenzied, fun...

These are, Rarity would freely admit, normally absolutely wonderful qualities for her friend to have. However, there are circumstances where even the most universally positive qualities are... not ideal. And, she would politely insist, there is at least one place in Ponyville that Pinkie's irrepressible exuberance should never intrude upon: the spa. Rarity would consider this a reasonable arrangement.

And yet, thanks to an ill-timed conversation and the dread spectre of social politeness, these two worlds of hers will soon collide when she is forced to invite Pinkie to spend some time with her in her haven of relaxation.

Will the Ponyville Spa survive? And even if it does, will Rarity's reputation there come out unscathed? Or will, by some miracle, Pinkie bring herself down to the realm of mortals and show Rarity more about herself than she ever could have guessed.

Note: the cover picture is entirely unrelated to the story, except in as much as it involved Pinkie and Rarity at the spa and it amused me.

Twilight Sparkle was granted a Royal Library as part of the castle in which she is residing, as Princess of Friendship. If her old library was good for the small village of Ponyville, the new library is graced with numerous and highly priced and valuable books, both great and small.

Pinkie Pie found joy in the value hidden within the still small library from the first day. She is regularly coming back, in search of books of direct interest, or randomly going through the books before her.

Pinkie Pie is found incapable of forgetting even the smallest detail, and having direct access to the wealth of knowledge she has been gathering: even if she had managed to forget her very own birthday, or other details of no humorous value.

As a Princess, Twilight Sparkle is holding on to books of value, books of great power in magic hidden among them. What happens, when the pink mare stumbles upon the dangerous material contained within these ancient tomes?

When the HMS Equestria sets out on her maiden voyage, they're doing nothing more than charting nebulae is search for different forms of life. Officially, that's all they're doing. But, behind sealed doors in a dark room, select crew members are part of a clandestine investigation of a growing faction within the Federation.

There was an engraved invitation in the mail the other day, including both Escort and a clear balloon.

Once I accepted, the Escort picked me up at my home, only that is late at night and in my bed room. Where was she taking me, and who is she?

Seems I ended up in Ponyville for the night.

At the end of the party to welcome Celestia’s prized pupil and protege; Twilight Sparkle to Ponyville, we had gone to the Summer Sun celebration, when and where Princess Celestia was supposed to be.

The problem is; she never arrived. In her stead, her younger sister appears. Twisted by emotions, and a millennium in the Moon; bent on having her revenge through the eternal night, just as she had originally promised.

One can never permit a small detail, or a few to get in the way of party and fun; this is why I am here. I have a job to do and a purpose fulfill. I have a new friend to make, and I be damned if I fail her.

I had noticed the trend of wearing what was referred to as a Gas-Mask, both out of fear, but also as a fashion statement. The problem with either is that they are ugly and highly uncomfortable to wear.

Involving Rarity from the fashionista’s perspective was an easy sell. Knowing her passion for what is looking good; but preferably is comfortable to wear, was making a kill.

Now I just needed some additional help, this is where Sunset Shimmer and Midnight Sparkle entered the picture. Just that once I had the project going, the rest of the gang is joining up behind the project.

As a good friend, and the lover of all things fun; how could I exclude them, or even consider not to include them? This is where the fun hit the road.

Pinkie Pie woke up early one morning, and Celestia had not even gotten her sun up just yet. Actually that is more than an hour away; but this would not be important, right now.

She had found herself with a straight mane, and a few gifts too many left by her bed. She knew the gifts had to be delivered, and before the sun hit the horizon.

Presenting herself as Diane Pi, she is posing as a sales woman; but with the intent to present a product as a gift to spread joy and cheer amongst the people, rather than actually making a kill on the sales in the first place.

Naturally, she does give them a means to reach her; just in case they would choose to buy more, without any obligations on the recipients or future customers part. She had stressed this, a bit farther than expected.
