This story is a sequel to Snails 1/2: Vol 2 The Perfect Stallion

The life of a colt should be simple, should be fun. Playing sports in the mud, fishing, building forts and tree houses, soap box races. Snails used to love all of that, there was nothing better then spending a hot day at the waterhole swimming with Snips, Rumble, and the other colts.

That seemed so long ago now. That seemed like another life. Ever since falling into that cursed pool, snails life has been non stop, trying to find a cure for the curse, trying to keep his curse hidden, and trying to lead a double life. When hit with cold water, HE becomes Escargot, the leader of the Mini-6, selected by the table to wield the elements of harmony light versions. To protect the castle and Ponyville when the Main Six have duties elsewhere.

This is a duty, a responsibility. So of course the princesses have decided that Escargot and the Mini Six, Noi, Dinky, Apple Bloom, Sweetiebelle, and Scootaloo must attend The Canterlot School for Gifted Unicorns, to ensure they can control the magics safely and responsibly.

Because more responsibility, and more school, is just what Snails was hoping for.

During Spring Break, Sweetie Belle decides to help her sister deliver a dress for Sunset Shimmer. What she doesn't realize is that the former unicorn has a secret. Despite spending so much time as a human, Sunset still finds clothing uncomfortable and enjoys living in the buff whenever she can.

Although reluctant to embrace the idea at first, Sweetie decides to follow Sunset's example and try the clothes-free lifestyle for herself. The young teen comes to realize that she loves the feeling of freedom it offers and wants others to enjoy it too. Thus, the Natural Living Appreciation Club was formed.

In addition to helping prepare the most high profile wedding Equestria has seen in living memory, Celestia has tasked Sunset Shimmer and the rest of the Elements of Harmony with befriending the future queen of the Dragon Empire and her entourage, the first Sorcerer the Empire has ever had. For years, Twilight Sparkle and Queen Chrysalis have been at each other's throats. Both have experienced victory over the other, and both have experienced defeat. Out of all the creatures in Equestria, none despise each other the way the pony Princess and changeling Queen do. They seemed destined to remain locked in battle forever, or at least until one is finally dead at the hooves of the other. The cruel insults, the vicious loathing, and the powerful spells that have passed back and forth between them at each meeting have become the stuff of legend.

Imagine Twilight's surprise when she finds out changelings consider this dating.

And now they're married.

That pain is something Queen Chrysalis has gone through for eighteen years, but now the time is upon them, and she wants her daughter back. Even if that means invading Canterlot during a royal wedding.

After the Friendship Games, Sunset feels it's time to return home.

Twilight Sparkle is a normal pony.

As normal as a pony can get as Princess Celestia's personal protogé, The Element of Magic and being the Savior of Equestria twice over that is.

She lives in Ponyville and is the librarian of Golden Oaks Library, she is the best of friends with five of the greatest mares in Equestria.

She is not some extremely powerful unicorn who has to closely monitor how much magic she has so as not to destroy anything by accident, she is not somepony who has infinite arcane knowledge at her disposal.

And she most certainly does not have Runes covering her entire body from horn to hoof.

In the year 2036 an asteroid dubbed "Apophis" struck the Earth and contaminated fifty percent of its water and atmosphere with an extraterrestrial pathogen dubbed "The SOL Strain." After two years, sixty percent of all human life was gone! With the world's governments struggling to keep their countries together; all seemed lost.

That is where my story begins.

My name is Chloe Cooper and I'm the only known human to be genetically immune to the SOL Virus. During the pandemic, I volunteered myself for experimentation. In order to keep me safe, I and three other humans were locked away in a vault deep within the Appalachian mountains. There these people, who I soon considered my friends, ran many tests on me and the virus, however after months without contact from above it was time to put the project to rest.

Cryostasis pods dubbed: "Cocoons" had been built in case we failed. 16,000 years later I awoke to sirens, signaling a whole host of problems.

And now? I'm the last of my kind.
