For the first time in history, the Archon of Freeport has come to Equestria. Princess Twilight Sparkle has been given the honor to host Archon Sunset Shimmer, but she quickly finds herself at odds with her prestigious guest. Things turn sour when something is stolen from the Archon, and Twilight is the prime suspect. Twilight must uncover the real thief to avert an uproar of international proportions.

Late one night, Twilight Velvet wakes from a deep sleep. She can tell that something is coming--but, in a million years, she would never have expected the ghost from her past who comes knocking.

Part of the Celestia XVII Alt-Universe, in which alicorns are mortal. Familiarity with at least the broad outlines of that universe will help this story make a lot more sense.

Content Warning: Very mild language, and mentions of death. I feel it's mild enough to warrant the "Everyone" rating, though.

Being seventeen is hard--especially if you happen to be a Princess.

I'm Princess Celestia, but everyone calls me Cece. My life has been crazier than normal lately--my big brother Blueblood is a selfish jerk, my best friend Twilight just moved away to Ponyville, and, oh yeah--Nightmare Moon turned out to be my long-lost somethingth-Great Aunt, Princess Luna. No biggie.

But, no matter how my life is going, I'm still Princess. I've gotta keep it together. Somehow. I can make it at least until the Grand Galloping Gala in a month-and-a-half... right?

With some of the world's wealthiest scum and villains attending, who walks out with the book could have consequences far beyond the islands.

Ever since Rainbow Dash made that unforgettable 'Grinch' face on the TV screen, many fans have responded with picture-comparison's to Dr. Seuss's The Grinch. And while some have attempted to mimic the old master's rhythmic rhyme to match the pictures----I've seen few attempt this rhyming with a full-fledged story draft. Others may try; some may have already tried, but here now is MY OWN attempt, just for argument sake. Inspired by Hasbro's MLP:FiM's "May the Best Pet Win" & "Tanks for the Memories" and Dr. Seuss's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." This author claims no ownership of characters or story; only of this draft.

There are no new cadets being trained, the big annual Wonderbolts party extravaganza isn't until this weekend, and Spitfire will only be away from the Academy for three days.
