This story I'm making here is not only my sequel to the Turnabout Storm video series by NeoArtimus. It is also a sequel to Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies.

Eight years have passed since the famous Phoenix Wright cleared the name of Rainbow Dash. He was currently on vacation with his friends and adopted daughter since no murder case turned up. But just then, he was summoned back to Equestria. Only this time, not alone, for he brought his friends and adopted daughter with him. Now they'll be spending their vacation in Equestria, which has some serious cases going on, each harder than the last. Unknown to them, something dark and evil is watching from the sidelines.

It's been over eight years for Phoenix Wright. Eight years since he was transported to the world of colourful ponies. Eight years since his showdown in the courtroom against Trixie over the fate of Rainbow Dash. Eight years since he was disbarred for submitting false evidence in a trial back in the human world. The last several years of investigation over the case that cost him his badge, and his subsequent return to the legal world has left his foray into Equestria as a faint memory, only the picture he keeps in his desk proving to him it wasn't a dream.

Coming off his most recent case, the ace attorney has decided to take a well deserved rest, but fate would have another plan for the lawyer, as once again his services, and those of The Wright Anything Agency, have been called to Equestria to solve the second murder in recent equine history. The stakes are higher than anyone, or anypony, could imagine, and if the defendant is found guilty, the repercussions could be disastrous. Day one of the trial is about to begin.

A/N: While planning out my other fics and getting back into writing, I finished watching Turnabout Storm and noticed that the resulting "sequel" fics are lacking or overwrought. Consider this a writing exercise and an attempt to do the series justice.

One morning, Pinkie Pie wakes up to a startling surprise. Ponyville Jewelry has been robbed and Fluttershy is the prime suspect! With Fluttershy's trial imminent, Pinkie Pie gets the greatest lawyer she knows on the case. That lawyer's name: Pinkie Pie!

When Silver Spoon is accused of pulling a false alarm on the school, Cheerilee's class convince their teacher to hold a second class trial to determine Silver Spoon's guilt.

Diamond Tiara, the defendant's best friend, offers to defend her during this trial.

A crime has taken place in Ponyville, and Octavia is the main suspect. Vinyl needs to find a defense attorney before her sister's trial begins. However, not a single lawyer agrees to help them. When everything seemed lost, one mare agrees to take on Octavia's case... the best defense attorney in Equestria: Lyra Heartstrings.

Lyra and Bonbon have opened a detective agency and are taking on their first case. What starts as a some missing muffins soon escalates. Now, it's up to these completely unlicensed non-professionals to solve the case. Oh, somepony also dies.

While Rarity undoubtedly killed nopony, she stood accused of trying to kill Prince Blueblood of the royal family, which is even greater than performing a normal murder successfully.

Despite Twilight Sparkle being a royal princess, she had no power to simply waive her friend's crime, but that didn't stop her from helping her generous friend to the very limit of her abilities

My name is Spitfire. I'm the captain of the Wonderbolts; the best fliers in all of Equestria. As captain, I feel that I have a certain obligation to my team. In a sense, they're kinda like my family (and trust me, I'm usually not that sappy). So when our practice course is sabotaged and it almost claims Misty Fly's life, you can understand why that would make me kind of livid. Especially since we were practicing for this special competition meant to strengthen pony-griffon relations.

And if that wasn't bad enough, I also have this oddball stalker claiming that these attacks are gonna continue. No, I'm not kidding here. This weird pony dressed up like something out of a comic book says that if I want to stop these attacks, I have to find the dock-hole behind them. Hey, just a quick question. Why me? I mean, I'm concerned about my team and all, but I'm a Wonderbolt, not a detective! Heck, you clearly know more about what's going on; why don't you do the legwork and catch this guy?! For that matter, why should I trust you?! I don't even know who you are!

Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to snap like that. I'm just not in a good mood right now. And Celestia help anypony who crosses me, be it that assassin or the costumed freak. Because if I get my hooves on either one of them, it's not gonna be pretty...

The story I'm about to tell you is real, although some details are debatable. I'm not gonna bother changing any names because I know there's at least one smart aleck out there who's gonna try to figure out the real names, anyway. Oh, and all you parents out there might wanna consider sending your little ones to bed. I'm gonna delve into some pretty heavy stuff, and I don't want to traumatize anypony.

Canterlot, the glowing jewel of Equestria. Home of the Princess of the Sun and Moon, this city is revered by all.
However, there is another side to Princess Celestia's home. Beneath it's glorified exterior lie the dark underbelly of the city. Underhoofed deals are made, cutthroat schemes enacted in secret and hidden pacts are formed.

Clear Truth, a rookie-lawyer from Manehatten, is asked by none other than Celestia herself to solve Canterlot's first murder. By his side, Spike Sparkle, adopted brother of the newest princess of Equestria. Will Clear Truth and Spike be able to find the true killer, or will an innocent pony face the hangmare's noose?
