When Twilight Sparkle mysteriously appears and tells Princess Luna she needs to be saved, Luna finds herself fighting an adversary that neither steel nor magic can dispose of.

Princess Celestia ascended Twilight into an alicorn without giving her any notice, then she left her to return to Canterlot to make preparations for the newborn alicorn's coronation, leaving Twilight's mind reeling from the sudden change of species and what it means.

Twilight can't sleep because her over-analytical mind is plagued with fear, uncertainty, and doubt. But maybe a visitor can help ease her worries and comfort her enough for her to fall asleep.

After being instigated by her sister, Princess Luna works up the courage to tell Twilight how she really feels about her. Somewhere there is also mention of coffee, disheveled manes, and generally un-princess like behavior.

After Princess Luna's gentle kiss Twilight hadn't been able to feel anything but unsettled. She had gently tried to explain that she only had feelings for colts. That was when her beloved mentor had said it. "If you break her heart, i'll break your spine." Now Twilight was stuck. She really liked her spine! Hmm, perhaps being a Lesmare wouldn't be so bad!

Twilight can't sleep. She's not slept a full night in two months and it's all because of this feeling she has. All she can do is lay awake and think. She's been falling asleep hanging out with her friends and she's constantly drowsy. This is just one night of the many that she's laid awake and thought of her feelings.

A short one-shot story.
