Being seniors at Canterlot High has some advantages. For the fall semester, Sunset Shimmer, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Twilight Sparkle won't actually be at CHS. Instead, the girls made it into a competitive foreign exchange program, which is sending them to Tokyo for the semester! Having taken Japanese as their foreign language credits, the girls joined the exchange program to open themselves up to a broader world.

Among the many experiences the exchange program exposed the girls to is the newest and hottest technology, the NerveGear, which brings virtual reality to a whole new level. Sword Art Online, also known as SAO, is the premier game soon to be released for the NerveGear. With their new friend, Ota Natsuki, they scored limited copies and get to be some of the 10,000 players to first experience Aincrad, but SAO is more than a game.

The girls are trapped, along with the other 10,000 players, by Akihiko Kayaba, the developer of the NerveGear and SAO. To get out, they must conquer Aincrad, floor by floor, until they beat the final boss in the Ruby Palace at it's summit. Then they all will be freed, however, if you die in the game, you die in real life.

The girls must band together with their new friend and face Aincrad, not just for themselves, but for all of the other players who can't take on such a challenge. After all they have been through, beating demons and sirens, a game should be easy, right?

EQG: Sword Art Online - Ruby Palace is not a sequel to EQG:SAO - Aincrad and, likewise, Ruby Palace is not a "rewrite". I chose to follow SOA Canon in Aincrad, placing the girls inside those events. Ruby Palace is a full crossover and Alt-U between EQG and SAO.

The Vignette Arcs are not required reading to follow the story, but they are recommended. The Pilot Episodes are the official start of the story.

After a cataclysmic event resulting in Equestria being converted into a vast desert, under the guidance of the pharaoh of the sun, ponies have fled to the sanctuary of the walled cities. Neo Somnambula is one such city.

Follow Tansha as she performs a job for her fixer, Spike to retrieve a stolen VR-program from one of the local street gangs. Little does she know that there is more going on behind the scenes, involving the original client who bought the program and an undercover Horizon Knight.

What has Tansha gotten herself into?

I had a bunch of these images of both Egyptian and cyberpunk architecture flowing through my mind. So, after some pondering, I came up with a setting that hopefully you all will enjoy.

This story contains: Suggestive themes/elements, an alternate post-apocalyptic distopian future Equestria, cyberpunk elements, Egyptian elements, alternate versions of some of your favorite characters, and themes involving death and immortality.

Twilight expected Shooting Star to just accept everything she was told. She didn't. Now Twilight is making the ultimate decision. She's going to tell Shooting Star the real story of Nightmare Moon.

And while there, she meets a sweet, classy mare with a prismatic mane, and a habit of saying "Darling". But there's something about her that she finds just too familiar.

And as she'll learn, maybe there's more to this familiarity than meets the eye.

Less than 24 hours live and this story has set three milestones for me. This is the first time I've had a story of mine be top of the Featured list, the first time I've had a story of mine get over 100 Likes, and the first time that a story of mine has reached over 1,000 views.

Hearts and Hooves day is ruined as all of Equestria is exposed to poison joke as part of a cruel prank. A quick trip to Zecora and the local spa should fix things up quickly. Right?

Eeeeeh not really. As Twilight and her friends soon discover that the usual poison joke cure doesn't work and that Zecora went back to Zebrica, they have no choice but to adapt to their new forms and wait for Zecora to return in, ooooooh, about 6 months? It depends on the weather really.

But wait! I hear you say. This was a prank! But who could commit such a heinous crime? Surely it was Discord! Of course not! That would be a very short story and not a fun, weird, crazy shenanigans filled slice of life tale with just a tinge of mystery!

Years have passed since that day, years spent scrounging the funding for a body and experimenting with many failed machine intelligence models before tinkerer ponies all around equestria finally came together in the perfect synthesis.

After all this time, Sweetie Belle will finally have her second chance.
