You should have known that someone with the name of Fluttershy would have been a pony. Equestrian Ponies are just so... foreign! You never know how to act around them. Will you be able to overcome this and cope with this pony invasion into your life?

Three girls. How did three girls manage to completely obliterate my understanding of the universe? Well, I guess I shouldn't call them girls (even though they look like they are), ponies would be the better description.

All I wanted was a nice breakfast and a chance to skip class. But the world decided to break on me instead, or maybe I broke it. I can't really make heads or tails of things anymore.

But what I do know is that I found three girls and they were scared. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I've got to help the Cutie Mark Crusaders get back home.

I've spent the majority of my life tilling the desolate land in which I live. Every day, I wake up to move useless rocks from one location to another. This is an archaic line of work that my family has clung to for generations. It is a dull, grey existence.

Today, I have woken up in a strange room, lying in a bed that isn't mine. I'm surrounded by five mares whom I've never seen in my life. They claim to be my friends, and expect me to bring joy to the hearts of everypony.

Joy? I don't think I've ever experienced this for myself, so how am I supposed to thrust it upon others?

Twilight Sparkle, bearer of the Element of Magic and personal student of Princess Celestia herself has always been a curious mare. She loves books, reading, and embracing new advancements in pony society, but what would she do if she had an obstacle she couldn't overcome?....or two?....or ten? I'd heard about the TV show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic from my college roommate who is way too into the show. Disturbingly so, actually, but good gravy I would never watch the darned thing! What am I, five? I've got better things to do with my time than watch a silly little girl's show. However, that didn't stop... something from transporting me into the world of the show, so here I am... in Equestria... trying to get home. This is gonna be interesting.
