In the year 2031, a chilling discovery rattled the foundations of humanity. A rogue asteroid, the size of Ceres, was detected at the edge of the solar system, hurtling towards Earth on a collision course. The news sent shockwaves through the global community, a stark reminder of humanity's vulnerability in the vast expanse of the cosmos.

Scientists raced against time to devise a solution. Project Gaia

Their efforts led them to a groundbreaking discovery: interdimensional portal technology. The theory was audacious: to evacuate Earth's population to a new world, a refuge untouched by the impending catastrophe.

The plan was met with both hope and trepidation. The portal, if successful, could be humanity's salvation. But the destination was unknown, a gamble that could either lead to a new beginning or a perilous end.

Chrysalis finally brakes out of her stone prison, and plans on taking revenge, but what if she's too late? as the land is empty... is she the last one alive, or has something worse taken over Equestria?

On behalf of the Canterlot University of Electrical Engineering, Princess Celestia sends her star pupil a mysterious contraption she wants her to take for "beta testing".

A mysterious, new invention dubbed the "Xbox 360".

There are things older than princesses, than castles, than names, and than time. Some of them live in remote corners of the world, shuttered away in an inaccessible crevasse. In every world, era, and species, adolescents think they're the first to invent or discover whatever they come across. It's not hard to see why. In the flower of youth, every experience is new and fresh and exciting, especially the ones previous generations won't discuss. Not in polite company, anyway. Certainly not with their children.

Well, "exciting" isn't always the best word to describe those discoveries. Sometimes it's "horrifying." Especially when it involves certain alicorn princesses.

As the Zentraedi launch their relentless assault on Macross Island, Captain Gloval makes a desperate decision; to make a hyperspace jump to outflank the alien fleet. However, something goes horribly wrong and the ship warps across the galaxy to an unknown planet... along with Macross Island.

And the planet is not uninhabited.

With no hope of returning home in their lifetimes, the crew of the ship and the people of Macross Island are in seemingly poor straits.

Everything seemed to be going better for Sunset Shimmer since getting blasted by the rainbow of light. She was learning about friendship and how to be a friend. Then Anon-A-Miss struck.

Thinking she had gone back to her old ways, Sunset's new friends walked away from her, leaving her alone.

Now Sunset cannot find neither the strength nor the will to get out of bed.

This is a first foray into attempting to tell a story from a first person perspective from Sunset's point of view.

This story is inspired in part by my own past struggles with depression.

The suicide/self harm tag is for thoughts of self harm, and Sunset's inability to eat or do anything other than lie in bed as she sinks deeper and deeper into depression.
