Dragons, Spike knows, live a long time. So much can happen during that time. And that scares him. So, what does he do? He seeks out advice from the wisest (and oldest) mare he knows - Princess Celestia - in the hopes that she can help him deal with his worry.
It's not quite what Celestia expects him to ask, but it's an important question nonetheless.

Written for the Smaugust prompt, "Celestial." This has a happy ending btw, the "Sad" tag is because, well, it makes Spike sad.

Follow Spike as he embarks on everyday adventures alongside the Elements as well as a wide variety of colorful characters in Ponyville and beyond. There will be laughs and tears - happy moments and sad moments.

Family may not always be easy, but Spike knows they'll always be together no matter what.

*An AU extended ending to Season 8 - "Father Knows Beast"*

It's been days since the greedy manipulator Sludge was revealed to have lied about being Spike's Father. Spike, originally excited to have had an actual dragon as a parental figure, now fears he will never have a family outside of Twilight to call his own.

However, despite Spike's hesitations, Twilight insists that he goes on a mission to tell each of their close friends what happened in regards to Sludge's scheme and form a bond with them. Spike has his doubts though as he fears the others aren't family and will reject him. Nevertheless, he sets out on a very personal mission.

How will each pony react to finding out that the baby dragon was taken advantage of as an excuse for room and board? Will they be able to help Spike and show that they love him? Will Spike discover that there's more to a family than he originally thought?

Spike always thought that Twilight and the other Elements of Harmony were the best friends he could ever ask for. However, after overhearing a usually kind pegasus's refusal to be near any dragons, Spike begins to realize he never really hangs out with Fluttershy like he does with the others.

After this realization among some other findings, Spike grows upset as he concludes that he and Fluttershy were never really friends to begin with - causing a noticeable rift between the two. Can things ever be mended between the dragon and the pony? And how does Fluttershy feel about this?

In the Marks for Effort episode, Cozy Glow confesses her intended failure of her test to make things right with the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Things didn't go the way it should be.

It has been eight long years since Principal Celestia lost her only child. Eight years of self blame and sadness. When a young woman stumbled into her office, begging to be enrolled she thought that it was just a cruel joke. Especially when that girl turned out to be a tormented villain from another universe. But could Celestia’s mistake be another girls salvation?

Spike and Gabby have been dating for a few weeks, and everything is great! In their short time together, they’ve found that they click on so many more levels than they did as friends. There is never an awkward moment between them, and now that they’re on the third date, it’s time to take it to the next level: The kiss. 

The mere thought of it fills Spike with nerves, but not of the excited kind. Instead of anticipation, all he feels is dread. He wants to kiss her. He needs to kiss her. There’s just one little problem.

He doesn’t know how to kiss a beak.

It's been a long time since Tirek conquered the world. And after his victory, he sucked all the magic out of the world, leaving every being without magic. At least, that's what his goons tell us. I've never been much for listening to them. Hard to find the time between mining crystals for Tirek and supporting my amazing family. Yeah the world's bad and all, but...hey, gotta make the best of it, right?

But recently...I found a helmet. A helmet that might be able to turn this all around. It has the power to defeat Tirek. It has the power to restore magic. But can I risk everything on trusting this helmet? Can I endanger my husband and son trying to save the world? Can I believe this will be better? Can I believe...in Fate?

Today is the best day of Twilight's life, for she has just succeeded in her dream of getting into Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. But along with her new status as a student of Celestia, there's also the matter of the unexpected surprise that accompanied her entry exam. A surprise she must now introduce to her family.
