They are self-sufficient and prideful, only venturing out of their hidden cities to replenish their stock of blood. But ties to past lives are not so easily severed.
When Lyra catches wind of supernatural happenings in her hometown of Canterlot, she and Vinyl take it upon themselves to investigate the cause.
When they began to read the ancient book Twilight and Spike only had the slightest of ideas what it could possibly be about. As the illuminated inks revealed to them an image of Princess Celestia locked in combat with a massive dragon and his sons they realized that the song written upon the aged pages was telling of a long forgotten battle...
... and that the Celestia they know and love is capable of things they dare not imagine.

The ever eager scholar, Twilight Sparkle, uses this truce as the perfect opportunity to learn more about this enigmatic race. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, she will learn all there is to know about what it means to be a changeling.
But will Twilight lose herself in the hive, or will she regain what she has lost? Only time will tell.

Twilight and Celestia have been in a relationship for a while now, and Twilight decided that it was the right time to introduce her new marefriend to her parents. Celestia was nervous, of course, but thought little of it.
But when Twilight asks about Celestia's parents, things get far more complicated.
After all, it's always a little awkward when your parents aren't exactly ponies in the first place.
