The Cutie Mark Crusaders are trying out their flag carrying skills. The enemy team is not happy about this, so they're hellbent on cramping these fillies' style. Permanently.

*Flips the pages of his script, brow furrowing as he goes over it.*

Well this isn't right at all! Candy colored equines swimming in an ocean of oil as if it were made of clouds, pegasi flying backwards before they slam into brick walls in the sky, Rainbow Dash doing a Sonic Rainboom and- oh this isn't right!

*The Narrator stomps off towards Canterlot's throne room, screaming profanities.*

[A/N: Dark tags are to cover my bases. I might act on it, I might not, but the first chapter has no 'dark' atmosphere to it. Just good-hearted laughs.

This complete spout of brutish nonsense is pretty much a vent for all my psychotic rambling. I thought it'd be funny to write a story like this, that's all.

At last, the weekend! A time of rest, relaxation and preparation. Lyra and Bon-Bon spend a day enjoying each other's company, remembering exactly why they make such an excellent couple. (No humans, no hands, just 100% cute LyraBon. Huge thanks to Leaflock for modifying the cover art!)

Drakkar, a pony from the Frozen North, is sent to Equestria to update the maps they have in Scandineighvia. Once he arrives to Ponyville, though, he finds out that there's a descendant of one of his townfolks living there.

A fellow pony notices that Princess Luna may have a serious problem: there is a small, sentient race inside her mane and they have been living there for quite some time. Luna must decide what to do about this.

Twilight and her five friends are transported during a botched spell, across dimensions to... Ponyville, Equestria? But not the same one that they knew. Sitting on a bench is Harpsy and Babar. The Doctoress avoids apples from an aspiring Applebuck. And in a library across town, six stallions join their forces as they try to decipher the appearance of filly look-alikes of themselves around Ponyville!

They call them vagabonds. Rogues. Criminals, corrupted to their very core. They are perceived to be poison in peaceful society and rightly cast out. Scarce are these dark cases in the golden light of Equestria's civilized culture. However, not all ponies born with gifts of malice in their souls have the desire to use them for evil ends. These rare few who are condemned to exile simply for fear that they might one day break and embrace their grim talents, are given a choice by a princess wrought with compassion.

Forever apart from society at large, they live a secret, dangerous and disciplined life defending the country that doubted their hearts. Armed with forbidden technology and the love of their monarchs, they thrive with the freedom to embrace their true selves in service to an Equestria that will never know them.
