An anthology of stories pertaining to Government in Equestria and beyond, especially the ponies that work in it. Each story will be tagged separately, but general tags will always apply.

None of these will be related. Most of them will be silly. All of it will be stupid.

Short Descriptions for each story:

• The Star Court [Dark][Profanity][Comedy] - Celestia finds out where all the bodies are buried. Well, incinerated, if you want to be technical. Plus, a discussion about corporeal punishment, jurisdiction, and court-procedure.
• Civics Lesson [Comedy][Slice of Life] - Applejack briefly considers Nepotism before getting a lesson in government she won’t soon forget.
• The Royal Advisor [Comedy][Random][Slice of Life][Profanity] - Spike takes a tour of his new job location, and solves a financial crisis. With special guest, Raven Inkwell!
• Ponies, Please [Comedy][Random][Slice of Life] - Have your papers, ID, and Visa ready at the checkpoint. GLORY TO EQUESTRIA!
• Proscription [Comedy][Dark][Random][Violence] - Octavia and Bonbon have some business to discuss.
• Chaos, CHAOOOOS! [Comedy] - The worst thing in this world, next to anarchy, is government.
• A Question of Succession [Comedy][Alcohol] - Never ask Celestia for advice, or storytime. At least not while she still has the keys to the liquor cabinet.

When Twilight needs a pardon, Celestia is there to provide. When Twilight doesn’t need one, Celestia still provides.

Sunset is certain Adagio hates her. She's both wrong and right about that, and is about to learn a thing or two about sirens and romance.

Adagio is certain Sunset wants her. She's wrong about that. For now.

Winner of the Sunset x Adagio competition.

After being banished for casting a malignant spell on ponies in a fit of madness, Cadence returns to Equestria. Haunted by her actions and eager to redeem herself, she decides that only by serving ponykind will she be able to regain her self-respect and the trust of her loved ones. In going to Canterlot to face Celestia, she finds Equestria in a state of prosperity... but its ruler is acting strangely.

Sunset Shimmer isn't a normal girl. She can levitate objects with her mind, shoot hot energy from her palms, and when she's scared, she can disappear and reappear somewhere else entirely.

Her parents know. Her siblings know. What they don't know is how different Sunset really is.

When nightmarish creatures attack and kidnap her sister, Sunset ventures into the unknown and discovers a world teetering on the edge of total darkness.

What begins as a rescue mission turns into a struggle to save a kingdom, as Sunset learns just who and what she is, and the weight that comes with it.

Everything was meant to turn out great.

But it didn't, and now Twilight wants to know why.

It's a huge step they're taking, and it's going to be hard, and long, and exhausting. But it's going to be worth it in the end, to form a family with him, to be a mother—is like all the pieces of her life are finally falling into place and she's exactly where she needs to be.

Or, Sunburst and Starlight take the plunge and decide to start a family, through adoption.

Luna was always alone on the moon, and it was obvious why. It was a banishment, but...

Sometimes she swore she heard a voice, a low and rough voice that could sound like crashing waves or gentle tides. She assumed she was hallucinating, because who would be connected enough to the moon to speak to her? Who would care enough to speak to her?

The Sea finds himself in a body he hadn't donned in over a thousand years. With only a vague guess as to why, he ventures out to right the wrongs his subjects had committed over the course of his incorporeality. Surely, he'll be able to accomplish it with no orphan-pegasi-related complications, right?

...Right?

Oasis and Apollo, quarter dragon siblings, have noticed their father, Turquoise Blitz, acting strangely since the anniversary of their mother's death, so when he returns from a trip to see his sister with a new necklace and an announcement that he will be spending more time in Canterlot, their suspicions are piqued. What will they do when they find that Princess Nidra may be out to replace their mother?
