Feeling restless at the dragon temple, the purple dragon of legend decides to take a leisurely flight one night. That all changes when a freak storm sends Spyro tumbling through a vortex and finds himself in a rather colorful new world.

Twilight's plans for a sleepover are tested when most of her guests have to cancel, but Applejack convinces her they can have fun together with just each other's company. Twilight's not used to giving up control, but sometimes going with the flow can open up a world of new experiences.

Twilight Sparkle must unite with her fellow gamer friends if she is to prevent herself from getting a game over not just in the virtual world, but the real world. Adventure awaits in a land filled with monsters, allies, quests, rivals, imagination, friendship, and magic.
