Applejack has always been a patient pony; it came with being a farmer. So when the farmer found herself falling head over hooves in love with her best friend, she was content to wait for the right moment to tell Rainbow Dash how she felt.

But now time is running out, and Applejack is left scrambling not to find the perfect time, but any time at all.

Miss Cheerilee informs Applejack that she never passed elementary mathematics. Since every pony in Equestria is legally required to understand rudimentary math, Applejack must retake and pass a basic exam in order to avoid going back to school.

Sounds simple enough, right?

After witnessing a series of strange events Twilight Sparkle and friends search for answers, only to find themselves entangled in a war between two ancient races and a plot that could end all existence. Luckily, our heroes find help in the form of an eccentric brown pony with an impossible blue box.

I had the pleasure of talking with Applejack while working with her in Sweet Apple Acres. We got on the usual subjects of history, heritage, philosophy, and then magic.
"Earth Ponies seem like they're at a disadvantage when it comes to magic," I say. She just shakes her head and replies, "Now let me tell ya a story..."

Applejack discovers something is eating her apples. Whatever could it be?

I decided that I wanted to make a sequel to my original fic and so here it is!
It can be read alone, but is better with background from the Mixer Chronicles.
I know a lot of people wanted to see the battle in chapter five, so that's why this is coming out before I finish the Mixer Chronicles, though I will be stingy with how fast I release chapters.
