It's not until a chance meeting with a particular Professor that he gets the opportunity to explore the world and find out exactly where he belongs. Side-story to Past Sins - Spike almost lost Twilight to a hangmare's noose, but now Twilight is safe and Nyx is a filly again. Normal life is returning. Still, Spike can't ignore the fact that Nyx just isn't the same as he remembers her. Her temper is more volatile, and, when she gets angry, all he can see is the rage-driven Nightmare Moon of legend.

And thus Spike has to wonder: Is Nyx truly reformed, or is she one bad tantrum away from calling herself Nightmare Moon again?

On a dark night filled with even darker magics, an insane cult attempts to give Nightmare Moon a body and life of her own, utterly separate from Princess Luna. But, when the spell is interrupted by Celestia, something unexpected is created.

Now, a little black alicorn filly named Nyx finds herself living under the care of Twilight Sparkle, only to be haunted by memories and emotions from her past. Is she Nightmare Moon reborn or is she simply a doppelganger with a soul and mind of her own? Can Twilight Sparkle protect Nyx from those who refuse to see past her dragon eyes and black coat?

Or, will Nyx be forced to inherit the sins that may not even be hers and become the greatest evil Equestria has ever known?

It has been 5 years since Rainbow Dash joined the Wonderbolts. and she couldn't be happier. But if this is true, then why is she haunted by the same nightmare every night? And what is it about the strange lavender unicorn that distracts her so?

Nightmare Moon always had a backup plan if she ever were defeated; she would slowly regenerate herself and regain her power. The problem is she never expected to come back as a defenseless filly, or to return directly in front of the princesses. As punishment for her past crimes, Luna has given her a sentence far worse than being sent to the moon again. Nightmare Moon must move in with Twilight and report to Luna on the magic of friendship. She's not very happy about it.

By the way I am not trying to rip off Past Sins in any way. Nyx is NOT in this story, this will go in a completely different direction.

[CANCELED AS OF NOVEMBER 24, 2012] The Cutie Mark Crusaders have really done it this time. In yet another attempt to earn their cutie marks after hearing an adventurous guest speaker in class, they set out for the Everfree forest to search the old castle ruins. After the ground collapses beneath them, they find themselves in a mysterious cavern. The Crusaders soon discover a stallion who was turned to stone by a cockatrice. After taking him back to town, they manage to thaw him out with the help of Twilight Sparkle. The stallion, one Sir Buck "Buckshot" Apple, claims to be a resident of Ponyville... That is, the Ponyville of one thousand years ago. The Crusaders take him to Sweet Apple Acres to meet the current generation of Apples, as well as to give him a tour of modern-day Ponyville. Misadventures ensue as the time-tossed knight, now the oldest living earth pony in Equestria, shows everypony how the champion of the old school rolls, and attempts to find a place for himself in a world that's all too familiar, but all too different at the same time. Sir Buck must come to terms with the events his disappearance gave rise to, as well as how to relate with a family legacy one thousand years in the making.

Another stupid story of mine. This one isn't even funny. I'm sorry.

Synopsis: In one of Pinkie's parties, Rainbow Dash tells the story of a strange mytical monster which is said to wander around Ponyville, haunting ponies when they are all alone. Twilight, of course, doesn't believe a word.
