Surrounded by the Everfree Forest, filled with delinquents, devoid of morals and any real sources of magic, Ponyville is the worst place to live in all of Equestria. But it also has the cheapest rent and Twilight's life just collapsed to the point where she can't afford to live anywhere else.

Perhaps the only thing Twilight has going for her now is that Rarity, the most powerful pony in town, has taken a liking to her. Rarity is eloquent, but the leader of a gang. She's beautiful and intriguing, but the most irreverent and delinquent pony Twilight has ever met. Rumors swirl around her. Some ponies even say she and her entire gang are all vampires.

But Twilight is smart enough to not give in to temptations. Or join a gang. Or become a vampire.

Every dress Luna owns is a gift she had no say in. Every dress Luna owns was given to her by Celestia. Every time Celestia gives one is a way she tries to understand her sister, and why moments of tension that arise when their expressions clash.

After a mirror portal field trip being conducted by Luna goes terribly wrong, Ocellus finds herself trapped in a strange palace far from home. That palace, once abandoned, is now infested with a hive of love-starved changelings intent on using her only way home as a means to invade her world.

The story is inspired by, and a homage to, my favorite game of the last decade. However, this story is neither a crossover nor AU. This story is set after "The End of the End" (but before "The Last Problem"), and is purely a My Little Pony story. A series of murders grips the ponies' population in the City of Canterlot so far; the serial killer has targeted only modified ponies. The favorite target of this killer has been a pony that has been modified to look like Alicorns. A not so rare modification in this city since the disappearing of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna Silverlight. Now with two missing Princess's back, that unusual modification has tapered back quite a bit, but still their many targets for the killer to find in the home city of the Royal Family.

Investigating these murders falls to Royal Investigator Alysia Ara Silverlight, the granddaughter of Princess Celestia Silverlight. So far, these attacks have not touched the Royal Family in any way. But that all changed went the immortal Princess Celestia was attacking from behind by the serial killer, which divert from his previous pattern. Everyone in Equestria knows that Princess Celestia Silverlight is pure Alicorn mare and has never been a modified pony. So why did the killer attack her from behind? Did the killer mistake her for someone else?
