You know the darkest day somepony can have in Equestria? It’s when a dragon who’s a friend to all of Equestria loses his memory. It’s amazing how just one singular creature has such a big effect on everyone. Today we’re all going to learn that as we take a glimpse at how the world fares when Spike gets amnesia.

Following the events of “Swirlpool Starlight,” Misty is feeling more conflicted about her past being brought to the surface than ever. Fortunately, one pony may be able to help her see the bright side to it all and perhaps help her learn more about herself……

A quick oneshot idea I had in the middle of the night that's set just a few days after the season 5 finale.

Starlight is prone to overthinking especially with everything that just happened, it was hard to even imagine she deserved the treatment she was receiving. But no matter how many times Starlight turns away from it all, Twilight is there to reassure her. Twilight wants nothing more than to help Starlight feel like she belongs and understand that she is becoming somepony knew, change is hard and it seems to be hitting Starlight more than others in the current time.

Ever worry you are going to overpromise and underdeliver?
It's a common fear. No one wants to be on the giving end of overpromising and underdelivering. But what if it is your friend who is stressing about that? Would you go to their aid and bail them out?

For Starlight, that answer is yes. When she saw Twilight Sparkle was in a bit of a pickle, a sense of duty cascaded over her. Will it pay off?
