Journals, diaries, logs, all books used to record one's thoughts, ideas and feelings. They act as eyes into the mind of the writer. What happens when that mind is sick?

A cold wind is rustling.

Twilight is awoken by a ruckus (or is it a fracas?) outside and discovers that Ponyville has been overrun with unusual creatures that are terrorizing the townsfolk. It is up to her to discover just what these creatures are and how to get rid of them.

parasite [ˈpærəˌsaɪt]
noun
An animal or plant that lives in or on another (the host) from which it obtains nourishment. The host does not benefit from the association and is often harmed by it. In the case of some parasites they can take over the host body, controlling or morphing it to suite their inherent needs. Parasites are transmitted through many means: contact with an infected host, the sharing of liquids, and, in some cases, parasites may even hunt their intended prey.

There is a bar in Ponyville run by Berry Punch that the locals love to go to. Some come to hang out while others come to forget their sorrows. There is a small flat-top piano in the corner of the bar. Every night at nine, a pony sits at that piano and plays until the bar closes. These are the audio logs of that pony, Staccato Diva.

This is the story of a young pegasus stallion, or you specifically. After the passing of your mother, and your ever increasing distant father, your brother has never felt safe in the cloud home. Afraid of heights and normal life in Cloudsdale, you decide to abandon your former life to start a new one on the ground, in a town called Ponyville. While there you find a cute mare that runs the local post office who goes by the name of Ditzy Doo.

Twilight is an intelligent mare, and always has something to say. But when a group of bizarre creatures shows up at her library offering life long service and devotion, for once she's at a loss for words. Which is too bad, because she'd really love to ask: what's a human and why are they so weird?
