Equestria and the Crystal Empire have fallen to the Changeling Hegemony, led by the brutal Queen Chrysalis at the head of a mechanized horde of guns and tanks. Princess Cadance stayed in the Crystal Empire; Princess Twilight stayed in Equestria. Chrysalis rules the continent, only defied by Nova Griffonia, the poor Griffon colony in the north.

Across the ocean, the Griffonian Reich pledges to reclaim its lost territory, sundered by revolution a generation ago. While the Alicorn Sisters retreat to New Mareland, Princess Flurry Heart and Shining Armor turn to Aquileia, the Republic born out of the ashes of the Griffonian Reich. The Kaiser of the Reich is only a child, subject to a regent bent on war and conquest.

Flurry knows the Reich and Chrysalis have worked together.

She knows that war is coming to Aquileia.

She knows that Celestia and Luna abandoned her mother and Twilight Sparkle.

She knows that the world is on fire, and she is the last true Princess of Ponies.

She knows she will go home.

Geyol, a half pony, and half dragon are also known as a Kirin, is the foster daughter of Nessonth and his mate Ymi. Along with her uncle, she learned draconic magic alongside her cousin Spike Scaleborn. She also gains a friend with Amber, the daughter of the Dragon Highlord, while she grew up.

Now she’s grown up she is tasked by the Highlord to be the bodyguard of Princess Amber as she travels to across the sea to the land of Equestria to sign a peace treaty between kingdoms. Along with Spike, an apprentice mage of his father, and Amber, the three travels to Canterlot to take part of the biggest event in Equestria (At the moment); the Marriage of Shining Armor and the Princess of Love Mi Amore Cadenza.

After demonstrating her abilities at her examination, her first day of studies comes to a grinding halt when a predecessor comes back for revenge on her mentor and Princess. After a narrow escape, the young filly, just beginning to learn her powers finds herself in the middle of the everfree forest, alone and vulnerable with no one to help guide her back to the life that was so swiftly pulled out from under her hooves. Her adventure nearly comes to an end when a pack of timber wolves attack her, however she is saved by one of the most unlikely of creatures, a dragon. With no one else to help her, she immediately follows the disgruntled and solitary creature back to his lair, much to his annoyance. However, he comes to find out that the two of them are far more connected than he could have ever guessed...

In this alternate universe, Twilight is a filly and never hatched spike. He grew up as a wild dragon in the Everfree forest, however deep down past the scales and fire, he will come to realize that perhaps he is something more. The first of a series I plan to create where spike is the "Older Brother/Guardian" figure, however, the bond that they share is the same if not stronger than that in the show. I believe this is an original concept, correct me if I'm wrong, but the idea came to me and I have been excited to show this to all of you

It wasn't long after Sombra's defeat that he was found in the outskirts of the frozen north, regenerated from his dismembered horn, but too weak to do anything more than stay in hiding and hope to make a full recovery. Princess Celestia was swiftly alerted of his re-appearance, and the dethroned king was dragged away from the north to be kept prisoner in the Canterlot Castle.

After weeks of planning, the princess called Fluttershy to Canterlot and bestowed upon her the task of reforming yet another foe. If there was anypony who could have some influence on such a vile overlord, it was her.

Fluttershy, however, wasn't nearly as certain of herself. Discord was so much different; he was so much easier. Back then, she had the elements of harmony at her disposal. but now, living in the Canterlot Castle with not a fellow element for miles, King Sombra was an entirely different story.
