For the first time, Thorax is going to do something he didn't think he would ever be able to do - ask out Spike, his longtime friend, out on a date. He hopes everything would go right, that this might be the beginning of something great between them. When Spike agrees to go out with him, Phyranx will be there to make sure to let Spike know what to expect if it doesn't go well.

This one-shot is for the M/M Shipping Contest II.

Adult Spike is trying to work out exactly how dragon magic works, and after he expresses frustration at not being able to use the only text ever written on the subject, King Thorax, his boyfriend decides to find it for him.

The journey takes him to the Crystal Empire, where the author once lived, but finding secrets from before Sombra's Reign is not easy, as memory and trauma obscure everything.

Written for the 2022 M/M Shipping Contest, it ended up a bit less shippy than I'd hoped, but hey, I wrote something!

In all of Hitch's many years, one constant has held true for Winter Wishday: it was always at grandmother Figgy's house, just the way she liked it. Well, not this year! This year she insisted that she wanted to see what Wishday would be like in Maretime Bay. At Hitch's place.

Which means Hitch and Sparky need to get all of Maretime Bay ready to hold to best, most perfectly-planned Winter Wishday ever!

The third place winner for the Iron Author speed writing contest at Everfree Northwest this year. I was honestly so shocked and honored when I heard. Everyone’s stories were so good! I can’t wait to see everyone post theirs soon.

Speaking of that, I want to edit this story more since I think I could smooth things out a little. But I don’t want to make everyone wait until then so here’s the unedited version submitted at the contest. I’ll leave the story complete but a second chapter that’s just a better edited version might be out soon.

Meanwhile, Bright Sight is hard at work on his studies as he's looking forward to the Christmas festivities in the Dream Weaver homeworld. Unfortunately, his unpredictable magic forces him to question his worth.
