For the past millennia, Equestria has been at constant war against the creatures of darkness. Twilight Sparkle joined the Royal Guard and devoted her life to protect her fellow ponies and Equestria from the darkness after it took her family from her. With dedication, she fulfilled every task given to her to the Queen's satisfaction.

That all changed when she learned that everything she believed in was nothing but lies.

This story is a sequel to Princess Celestia The Changeling Queen: Stories Behind the Mask

At the Royal Wedding, Chrysalis and the Changelings were revealed to all of Equestria.

But another mask was torn away that day. A mask born for a thousand years. A mask created on one promise. A mask, that has become synonymous, fused, to its bearer.

A mask that when ripped off, causes Twilight, her friends and Luna to question everything they ever knew about the one pony, one very important pony.

At the Royal Wedding, the meaning of the phrase 'Princess Celestia' changes forever.

NOTE: Chrysalis is NOT Celestia!!! That'd be impossible to pull off.

Since before the founding of Equestria, when darkness threatens the harmonious balance of the world, souls of heroes are called upon to save it. The greater the power, the more potentially disastrous the coming doom. So when a new, mysterious pony ascends to alicorn-hood, Twilight Sparkle immediately calls upon her former mentor for aid, bringing the power of the royal sisters to help determine the cause of her sudden appearance.

Will Equestria be ready for the potential threat that can come with such a powerful force being unleashed? It will take courage, patience, and weathering the ire of one rather angry mother to survive.

It's Hearth's Warming Eve once again, and Anon plans on spending it the same way he spends it every year: drunk and alone.

Well, not if Celestia and Luna have anything to say about it.

Gilda only wanted the humble things in life. Cheap rent, copious bits, the respect of her peers, the occasional juicy field-mouse.

Being captured by the Equestrians and dragooned into the Territorials wasn't quite what she'd dreamed of, but at least the rent was free.

And the rats were nice and plump.

Fluttershy and Discord are excited to spend a beautiful Hearth's Warming Eve together, but things take an unexpected turn as they near the midnight hour.

Just a festive little fluff story for the holiday season. (This story has no connection to Let Yourself Fall.)
