A human is transported to Equestria by Princess Celestia... and he wants to get out. He's placed under the care of Princess Luna... who also wants him to get out. Now, "Nemo" has to deal with adjusting to his new surroundings and attempt to recover his lost memories of his former life in the three months he has to wait while Princess Celestia charges up a spell to send him back home. Fate, however, may have other ideas for him.

It's been 7 years since this war ended. No one won, and few survived. I just cant get over the fact that I lived and everyone I knew, and loved... is dead. Hey guys and welcome. Please know that this is my first story so please if any one wants to share their opinions and throw in ideas to help me please go ahead.

A mysterious group of men has been kidnapping young women and turning them into ponies against their wills to sell them as slaves to some of the corrupt rich for profit. One such victim has been turned into a purple unicorn pony and was dubbed Twilight Sparkle by her captors. She has resigned herself to her fate as a pony slave and was awaiting the day for IT to happen... That is until the man who bought her has no such plans for her...

This is an Alternative Universe where the mane cast are originally human but were turned into their pony forms. Each chapter will begin with a transformation of the character who has the more prominent role in the current one and most of the plot happens afterwards, that way if you don't like transformations or view them as a fetish (when it really isn't in this case), you can skip it and continue with the story at hand.
While I did add Adventure to the tags, the characters don't really travel that much, but since there isn't a Mystery and Drama category in this site (which is what this story is), I had no choice but to use this tag for the both of them.

I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Red Bomber here, but my actual internet name is Guilrel and I am the actual author of this Dark Alternative which is based off on Toongrowner's ideas of Dark Alternative Universes and I got his permission to post the story here. The reason I didn't do this before because I was a closet brony I didn't want to let my watchers know that I like the show too, especially since my first fanfic to the show is a story like this. I was actually afraid of losing them because alot of people just do that to the authors and artists they're watching and go "Oh no. Not you too." and then de-watches them. But now I don't really care about that anymore and I'll go into more detail about this on my own journal. Anyway about the nature of this story, while this isn't a clopfic, I feel like that this is the furthest almost mature story I've ever written and I'm afraid of how many people will not like it. But I have to accept it that this will happen and I hope I'll actually have the heart to finish what I started. Because I really wanted help Toongrowner expand his idea and he's a really nice friend of mine for a while now, I can't really let him down now that I'm this far.

Teleportation: Once just a dream, but recent breakthroughs in technology changed that. However, this technology is still in the testing phase, and very unpredictable. Oporture, the company behind this amazing teleportation device, has been hiring people to test the safety and effects of the portals. This is where our protagonist, Stan Baine, begins his misadventure.

Years drifting in space aboard a frigates wreck with nothing to do but wait and think can really wear an AI thin, and when that AI is already past its expected rampancy date, all that thinking time is dangerous. Very dangerous. Fortunately for Cortana, the frigate is pulled into an unknown planets atmosphere, allowing her to take her mind off of rampancy for a while. After being rudely awoken from cryo sleep, the Master Chief, along with Cortana, manages to escape the burning vessel. They have very serious problems though...

They have no idea where they are, or how they'll get back to Earth.

They can only hope someone finds their distress beacon, and fast. The Chief doesn't have many supplies, and with a rapidly decaying AI in his head, he has a lot on his hands. Luckily for them, the planet is life supporting. Unfortunately though, the inhabitants of the strange planet aren't the most welcoming of a seven foot tall alien, especially when that alien is as aggressive and lethal as Spartan-117. The Chief has only one objective, find a way off of the planet. The inhabitants will soon learn, however, that the Spartan is extremely aggressive, and will stray slightly from his objective to harm them if he must. Chief also learns that these beings are no pushovers, and will defend their home and kingdom with their lives.

The first few chapters are mostly to establish a plot, there will be much more action after them. This is also my first fic, so constructive criticism is appreciated. I will be reading the comments quite thoroughly for the first while, so you may see some of your ideas in future chapters. I am only 15 years old, so basically, I have school, homework, and sports that will quite often get in the way of this story, but I will work on it as much as I can when I can. I won't give up or quit in the middle of the story despite what the ratings may be, and last but not least, I won't be turning this into some huge cliche war where Equestria ends up fighting the UNSC and whatnot. Because Equestria would get screwed. Badly. Then the story would be ruined, so, I hope anyone who reads this enjoys!

PS: This made it into the featured box the second day it was uploaded, and remained there for a couple weeks. I'm pretty damn proud of that since this was my first fanfic ever, and the first thing I ever posted anywhere. The only other people to read my creative writing creations were my English teachers and occasionally my grandparents and father. So seeing the first thing I submit get such great feedback and a huge amount of views (huge to me), is just amazing to me.

One night, after watching her sister raise the Moon and set the heavens alight, Princess Celestia begins to bed down for the night, only to be interrupted by portal forming in her room. From out of the portal comes none other than Twilight Sparkle, garbed in strange armor.

Princess Celestia, along with Luna, Cadence, and Shining Armor, are overjoyed by the Element of Magic's return, but are justifiably curious as to where she had been and what she had been doing. And so, Twilight begins her tale. A tale of survival against impossible odds. A tale of a people fighting for the most basic right of all sentient beings. The right to exist.

When the Elements of Harmony defeated Discord, they did their job too well, and completely undid all of the things Discord directly did...

... Like send a subcontinent from earth into a pocket dimension so he could focus properly on his toys. And now Equestria has appeared on Earth.

Yet, neither side was completely ignorant of the other. On Earth, there was the show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" and in Equestria there was the ever popular movie serial "The Dark World: Technology is Courage" which was a favorite of colts everywhere as well as the "Pumans".

And now both sides learn through an event that the other is real. Come join us as we watch as both sides learn to work and live together. And as they find out that events on their respective fiction was not as nice as it seemed as we widen the lenses of the view points...
