It was supposed to be a test, one of monumental weight that decided the future of Equestria. Sending Twilight and her friends to save the Crystal Empire. Celestia had doubts but she thought they were able to step up to the challenge.

But to her worry, she had not received a report or letter for the past two hours. What kind of heinous punishments was Twilight enduring? What vile, disastrous magic was being inflicted upon her?

Would Sombra even keep her alive?

Celestia quivered in the wake of the possible answer that Twilight was unsuccessful in defeating a true villain.

Most of ponykind didn't think much of the space far above their heads, until a record from another world fell from the skies.

This story is a sequel to And Hell Followed

A plague ravaged Equestria, turning all of the unicorns and alicorns into bloodthirsty monsters bent on killing all the other races in a genocidal rage. A small cadre lead by the Elements of Harmony survived and persisted in Ponyville, and even managed to reverse it all at the cost of their lives.

Now Equestria must rebuild.

In Manehattan, Twilight Sparkle and Princess Luna must find a way to ease racial tensions while keeping the teetering nation safe and also rebuilding the lost trust of the little ponies of Equestria. Elsewhere, Cheerilee and Scootaloo must find their way in this new world.

There are only two options left. Rebuild Equestria stronger than ever, or be scattered to the winds of history.

3/14/24 Still Alive Edition

There's only one pony in Ponyville that the Mane Six have never met. Pinkie Pie has never thrown him a party, Applejack has never sold him a mug of cider, and Twilight has never seen him check out any books. And as far as that unicorn, Lapis Print, is concerned, that's exactly how it should be.

Lapis can't risk them knowing where he lives, what he does for a living, or even what his name is - if he gets his way, the Mane Six won't even know he exists, and nopony in Ponyville will miss him once he's gone.

It should be a piece of cake - after all, it's not like the biggest magical power in Equestria is about making sure everypony looks out for each other, right?

Set between "The Ending of the End" and the flashback in "The Last Problem" The Main 6 are called before the princesses to discover the mystery of the world's first friendship, by solving the world's first friendship problem. In the distant past, the ancient ponies were defended from the dangers of the untamed world by the humans: the mightiest warriors the world ever saw and users of powerful elemental magics. However, something happened between them that drove the humans underground to the very heart of the world.

Down in the cavern our little ponies find a vast but treacherous city, and must work to repair the bonds broken by time through facing dangers untold. However, several unsavory parties seem to want them for their own agendas.

After losing her hive, Queen Chrysalis is forced to start another one. Luckily she has the help of a few loyal subjects who never accepted their fellow changelings new way of life. They must stay hidden from enemies, collect enough food to survive and rebuild their strength. Now the first brood has hatched and there is something very different about one of the larva.
