The Cutie Mark Crusaders decide they need to expand their numbers, but things quickly go awry when their first target begins sobbing on the spot. Sweetie Belle soon finds herself roped into hanging out with the young colt.

Princess Luna’s growing bored of powning the same newbs over and over. So, in an effort to rekindle her passion, she sends out an invite to several ponies, requesting them to join in a very particular game. When they accept the invite, all of the participants are pulled into their viewing systems and fall into a strange world. Luna appears on a screen telling them that they've been recruited into a real life video game by her and several other mysterious ponies.

With their gamer pride on the line, can the players figure out the identities of the other ponies running the show, and worse... beat them at their own games?

Side-story to Past Sins - Spike almost lost Twilight to a hangmare's noose, but now Twilight is safe and Nyx is a filly again. Normal life is returning. Still, Spike can't ignore the fact that Nyx just isn't the same as he remembers her. Her temper is more volatile, and, when she gets angry, all he can see is the rage-driven Nightmare Moon of legend.

And thus Spike has to wonder: Is Nyx truly reformed, or is she one bad tantrum away from calling herself Nightmare Moon again?

But in the middle of the night a mysterious mare stole Twilight's Crown. Twilight chases the thief through a strange mirror. Private is told that she will return soon, but two days have past and Twilight has yet to pass back through. Private decides he's not about to let Twilight face a strange new world alone. Upon entering the mirror himself, he discovers a very different, yet familiar world beyond the mirror. A human high school.
