Applejack begins to notice suspicious behavior in her friend Twilight. As she presses for the truth, she discovers the truth about their world.

They are not alone.

Somewhere, there is another Equestria, another world in which copies of the Element Bearers live different lives, unaware of the destiny that was almost theirs. A world shrouded in darkness.

As these two worlds begin to collide, six strangers will discover that they must inherit the mantles passed down by their alternate selves and become heroes in a world without rainbows.

Fluttershy had always been ridiculed for her mannerisms and way of thinking. Even though she always put on a good face, her soul continued to weigh and weaken. It was only a matter of time before a single event would trigger her final spiral. Being cursed as a bat pony. Leaving the world for good seemed like the only reasonable option.
With all hope lost, and in her final moments, a new friend comes to her rescue and proves all her thoughts wrong.

This began as a 30 minute writing challenge for the "School for new Writers". The prompt was: What's a little rivalry between sisters?

After a spell gone awry, Twilight finds herself in another split between two, very different, worlds, and both need help. What will she do? What does she really stand for?

Shortly after the events of Bats! Human Fluttershy has began mirroring vampric behaviour. Fluttershy, trying to isolate herself from her family, goes to camp out at Canterlot High. Her friends, however, have their own reasons for being there. She has to repress her new urge for blood until morning when, hopefully, thing will go back to normal. If not, then woe be unto all who cross Flutterbat.
