Absentia spent twenty years chained up in the bowels of the cursed Rainbow Factory. For twenty years, she never saw the outside world, left to the mercy of the Factory. But when two foals free her from the clutches of the Pegasus Device, she remembers what it means to fly. As she helps her new friends escape the facility, she has to make a choice.

She chooses to fly.

With Applejack and Rarity officially dating, (on top of everything else they do) Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom are feeling a little left out of their sister's lives. To lift their spirits, Fluttershy invites them over to her house for a quite night of fun. When Rainbow Dash joins them, Apple Bloom starts to realize that there may be something more going on between the older two girls.

Because of Trixie and Adagio, Twilight, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Timber Spruce, and Flash have all been turned into toddlers. And because Applejack and Pinkie Pie have to head off, Sunset has to babysit all eight children. (Okay fine, only six technically, but for all the help Trixie and Adagio are.... @#$&*%!!!!)

However, her vacation is quickly and rudely interrupted. Starlight soon finds herself stranded in a remote mountain valley with Sunset and fourteen other humans, with no memory of how they got there. A strange black and white bear appears to tell them that this is now their new, permanent home; the only way to leave is to kill someone and get away with it in a trial.

With only her wits and a fraction of her usual magical capabilities available to her, Starlight vows to do whatever it takes to get herself, Sunset and the others to safety. Nopony- er, nobody's going to die on her watch! But the Mastermind has their own devious plans...

This story is a sequel to I Am Awkward (Yellow)

But if you haven't basically all you need to know is that Moon Dancer moved to Ponyville and is dating Fluttershy, and both Rarity and Starlight have come out as some form of not straight. And Applejack is Fluttershy's ex, but she'll never admit it. .

It turns out that the magical land of Equestria is not a flat plane covered by a bowl of stars after all. This is big news to Queen Chrysalis. If the moon is actually a place, then she can travel there, claim its magical energies, and finally get revenge on Celestia, Twilight Sparkle, and everypony else.

Of course, there are problems. One problem is that everypony else is also rushing to get into space. Another problem is that Chrysalis really has no idea how to do it. Fortunately a certain earth pony with a taste for cherries is willing to help... provided she gets to fly the ship, and provided Chrysalis keeps the space program honest and open and legal.

Together, Chrysalis, Cherry Berry, and a horde of brave-but-dumb changelings will make world history... or, more likely, they'll make a lot of really big explosions.
