When you're an alien immigrant, you don't really have the luxury of a family to celebrate the holiday's with. So, Sunset has gone years without a proper Hearth's Warming.

Usually she just eats Fruit Loops, Egg Nog, and Bourbon for her holiday meal and watches TV Specials in her sweatpants. Honestly, it's been pretty great.

Though this year, Rarity wants to mess with the status quo.

Twilight Sparkle was banished from Equestria a long time ago for a crime she didn't commit. The rest of the Mane 6 have been searching for her to tell her that she can return. When they do find Twilight, they realize that the trials of surviving outside Equestria have changed their old friend. Not all the changes are necessarily good.

As they return to Equestria, they must figure out who is opposing them. Shadows lurk in every corner, enemies watching for a single misstep. Not to mention, Twilight's shadows are creeping up on her. Princess Celestia her former teacher, wants her to come for a visit to Silver Shoals where both Celestia & Luna went to retire after Princess Twilight took over. Sunset will be reunited again with her former teacher and will be in for a shock with a few surprises on her adventure.

Sunset has a problem. It's a problem she's had since she was little, in a sense. She always felt like something was simply not right about her life, something that she can't put her finger on--that nags and pokes and teases at the back of her mind, until it drives her mad.

It's not that she wants to kill herself, really. It's just that it keeps happening, always at the most inconvenient times and in the most inconvenient ways.
