Mistakes have consequences. Right?

Why yes, they do. As a matter of fact, every mistake has consequences, proportional to the size of the mistake. As a result, when a determined young mage makes a terrible mistake by reaching for the Beyond...

The consequences are far larger than she could have imagined.

These are those consequences.

This story is ostensibly a rewrite of The Boy who Disappeared... except that it's so far different I'm not sure it actually qualifies as a rewrite, so much as a whole new story.

Rainbow Dash is a simple mare. She loves flying, she loves napping, but most importantly of all, she loves her friends. She loves her family. She loves the little tortoise who sleeps in the corner of her bedroom. She loves her town, she loves her country, she loves her world.

She's never thought about what she would do without it all. She's never thought about what she would do if she woke up one morning, only to discover that the world had passed her by. She's never thought about what she would be willing to do, how far she would be willing to go, to get it all back.

What if, in the battle against Quirrel, Harry accidentally smashed the Philosopher's Stone on the man's head? What if this transported the entire school, along with all of the lands belonging to it, into the Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland of Equestria?
And what if all of the students, teachers and Ghosts got ponified in the process? Well, Harry has some other problems to boot, like figuring out what to do in this new world, and managing as both a Alicorn, a female at that, and one of six no less, as well as trying to keep the school and his friends safe.

Matilda was one among many griffons sent as tribute after Equestria defeated Gryphonia in a great humiliating battle. There she is put to work the great boilers of Canterlot Palace from morning till evening, constantly providing hot steaming water for the day's use.

Making friends is difficult for Matilda, though she wants to try. Living life is harsh because she was a citizen of a disgraced nation, though she is proud of her heritage. Having ambitions is impossible because it would take a lifetime to earn her freedom, though she does not stop dreaming about it.

Until she begins to discover the power of Friendship and Harmony for herself.

After having a terrible and horrible life , I was given a chance and made a deal with the dev-I mean Discord. Transferred as a god with dashing features into a television program that I never paid attention to ? Hell yeah. My only concern is what Discord meant by 'prone to enslavement.'

Being the Deity of Time is tough work. You've got to protect the timestream, save ponies that tamper with time and get stuck in infinite loops.

There's also a lot of experimenting one can get done with the ability to reset the universe each time.

Point is, she's done a lot, for a LONG time. So, after her latest experiment goes very wrong, she decides to take a vacation.

Back to where she was once known as Twilight Sparkle.

Also, Discord does some things too.

When Twilight and Rainbow Dash are invited on an expedition with Daring Doo, the two are beyond overjoyed. A tomb has been discovered, it's definitive features beyond the comprehension of Ponykind. Who knows what adventure will lay behind it's doors. Fame? Fortune? Death?

Secrets will be uncovered. Revelations will be made. But most of all, the trio will realize that some things... are better left buried.

Will be three chapters in total.

Starswirl and Autumn Blaze, both seeking adventure and understanding, find themselves transported to Veldin, a planet located in a remote corner of the Solana Galaxy, as infants, with no memories at all, and happen to arrive at the same time that Ratchet crash lands into the planet. Together the three siblings grow and experience all sorts of things during their time on their home world, but eventually it grows boring and they set their sight on the stars, imagining what sort of adventures would await them once they left Veldin behind and started to explore their galaxy... unaware that fate was going to bring all of them into contact with someone who would set their lives in motion and allow them to truly discover their places in their vast universe.
