When she was in middle school, Sunset Shimmer suffered from what is called 'Middle-second syndrome'.
It is a term used to describe young teens who have grandiose delusions, and in some cases, have convinces themselves that they have secret powers.
She used to call herself 'The God Princess of Flames', an immortal being capable of manipulate fire, alienating herself from her classmates.
Finding her past embarrassing, Sunset will try everything to start her high school journey quietly after moving out from her city.
But not everything went as planned when she meets Twilight Sparkle, a girl in her class suffering from the very same syndrome, who calls herself 'The God Princess of Night'.
Sunset will do everything in her power to avoid being around that girl, but she will find it to be a difficult task since this girl literally lives next door.

Sunset Shimmer is no spring chicken, that much is for sure. Her best days are a long, long way behind her. Content to live in the human world without settling into any sordid romances, she set her scientific mind to good use, and pursued a career that left the world in a better state than it was when she first arrived. A lifetime ago. But nobody, not even an equine-turned-human, is immune to the passage of time. And as an elderly Sunset settles down to enjoy a quiet evening on the porch of her small cottage, an old friend pays one last visit.

A girl lost to the world beyond the mirror, her life unknown to all and her name remembered by only one.

A pony wandering amongst her books, a national hero and friend to many.

Both their lives will be tied together by a single book thought long since lost to time. Drawn in by tales of heroism and valor, of hatred and evil; the acts of great heroes and monsters. And at the centre of all of it? One girl, a name strangely familiar yet wholly foreign to her:

Sunset Shimmer.

Sunset Shimmer and Adagio Dazzle have been dating for quite some time now and Sunset has yet to tell her friends, but, she has now decided it’s not fair to keep Adagio hidden anymore. Will her friends be as accepting as she hopes? Or will they distance from her after hearing the news?

Sunset Shimmer was getting ready for bed like she did every night and was casually wishing that she wanted to be a pony again. It was a thought that crossed her mind from time to time so she hadn't really thought much about it but the next day she discovers that that quick wish had come true. Now she and her friends have to figure out what happened and how to fix it. Meanwhile Sunset is becoming more and more comfortable in her pony body and she starts to wonder should they fix this?
