A short year has gone by since the "Vinyl Scratch Incident" and Spike finds himself as single as ever. When an old flame resurfaces however, Spike will be set on winning her heart.

Unfortunately for Spike, old flames aren't the only ones coming back. And when someone once very dear to Spike has a startling revelation, the dragon will have to make a decision that will change everything in his life.

As Spike searches for answers, the drake discovers the true meaning of love in the process.

A few days after admitting their feelings for each other, Spike and Sweetie Belle have started dating one another. Because both have yet to be in a relationship with anypony, they are inexperienced in the subject. Will things be alright or will their relationship be over as soon as it began?

Twilight has been summoned to Canterlot for important training as a princess, but she is unable to bring Spike along. Unfortunately, her closest friends are unable to watch him, so she turns to her newest friend Trixie. However, will Spike be uncomfortable around her or will he be able to look past her previous actions and consider making her a friend?

Applebloom turns seventeen years old. Eager to become a grown pony, her strong desire to help out around the farm takes hold. However, she is quick to realize that she might not be as ready to grow up as she thought when she begins to have odd feelings for a small purple dragon. Will she be able to fully blossom into the mare she wants to become?

Princess Twilight Sparkle is expecting her friends to arrive in Canterlot. But when the train doesn't arrive on time she, naturally, starts to fear the worst.

Although Spike tries to reassure her that all is well with her friends, the nervous Princess can't help but think of a few reasons which could be to blame for the sudden and inexplicable delay.

When the train finally does arrive she learns the real reason for the delay — though it's not exactly what she was expecting it to be.
