Fluttershy has a long standing policy of not letting Discord alter reality for her benefit. She won't let him make her unfathomably rich. She won't let him give her untold power. She won't even let him make her immortal.

But she has taught him that friends are allowed to give gifts and help each other.

So if he can make everypony in Equestria her friend, then they'll just give her everything she could ever want!

But they're still so far away from mortal sight, residing on the top of the tallest mountain, its peak hidden among the clouds. A simple meeting with them would answer so many questions people have about them.

This is an expansion of my entry into Flashfic 150 - September 2019 with the prompt 'Bittersweet'. I felt the idea had legs beyond 150 words and took it a bit further.

Trixie and Sunburst led the students to safety through the caves below the School of Friendship while Starlight Glimmer stayed behind to hold off Chrysalis.

Starlight Glimmer has fallen.

Trixie isn't happy about that.

Cyclotorna was a changeling infiltrator who spent years living among ponies in secret and siphoning their love away.

Now, after the reformation and being freed from Chrysalis, Cyclotorna returns to Whinnyapolis with the hope that a life built on lies can be saved by truth.

Just as Equestria transitions from two Princesses to one, the Elements of Harmony transition to a new generation of Bearers.

But as the new young defenders of Harmony take up the task ahead, they are perplexed by a deep-rooted question: if the Pillars have Stygian and the Elements have Spike, who do they have?
