As Projekt Kristellthron fails (or succeeds, based on who you ask), Grover the Fifith is reborn as the Emperor of Griffonkind, forever upon his golden throne. Despite betrayal from Dawnclaw, Dawnclaw's heresy only ends with the newborn Imperium of Griffonkind rising greater then ever. And as the years go on, the Imperium spreads ever further, until finally, in the mid 1020s, Griffonia, and Griffonkind, are united under one being. The God-Emperor of Griffonkind, the being who was once Grover the Fifth. For he is the physical manifestation of Boreas, Eyr, and Arcturius. Yet, as Griffonia is united and the Emperor dreams of greater conquest for griffonkind. He blinks... and his dream ends.

A nation fractured and surrounded by enemies, a physically weak ruler who struggled daily to maintain an empire that weakened with each passing year. Together with nobles increasingly ambitious and emboldened as the emperor's authority dwindled.

All this added up to a powder fuse for a nation that would explode into conflict with the ambition of the various duchies and counties that already wielded considerable power.

And in the middle of all this chaos, he is born.

An old spirit in a young body. The first and only heir of the Von Greifenstein dynasty and the last hope of a declining Griffonian Empire.

This story is based on the mod for Hoi4 Equestria at war. It's really worth checking out. All types of constructive criticism are accepted and very well welcome! I don't own any of the images! They all belong to the Equestria at war Dev team and their Artists!

The year is 1007 ALB, and the Griffonian Empire lies dying.

Suffering from a combination of major revolts, rampant corruption and power hungry griffons vying for power, the Empire's direct holdings have shrunk greatly from it's glory days.

With the health of current Emperor Grover V in very poor condition and his son being a mere child unable to rule, the Empire braces itself for another violent power struggle. Whoever wins the coming struggle, whether it be the religious conservatives under the guiding talon of Archon Eros VII or the ever wise cousin of Emperor Grover V Gabriella Eagleclaw will still have to contend with the task of healing an Empire long on the decline.

Facing it's darkest hour, many Griffons pray for the Empire, as many of them know only one thing is certain:

May Boreas save the Empire, for no one else can...

This story is inspired by the popular mod for Hearts of Iron 4 Equestria at War, especially it's content on the Griffon continent. Please note that while I will try my best to keep the story accurate to events and characters that are prominent in the mod, I will take some creative liberties in making sure that I can tell a proper story as at the end of the day, Hearts of Iron is a war simulator. However, don't let that stop you from playing the mod if you haven't already or getting your hands on the game, it's a fantastic mod made by ludicrously talented people that I highly recommend you check out!

After an urgent summon from Fancy Pants, both Celestia and Luna attend Day court. However, a new precedent is set when Fancy Pants presents a male alicorn to the two princessess, one he found dumpster diving behind his house.

A head full of romance is what many Canterlot ponies would call a frivolous waste of time. Crystal knew life wasn't as easy as a foal's tale, but that didn't stop her from dreaming. All of the wishes, hopes, and dreams inside her heart escaped into her precious notebook as she wrote about princesses in power and dashing knights. So long as nopony found out her secret, she could continue to play the part of a dutiful daughter while waiting for her own love story to begin.

The Griffons are fearful of the Solar Empire gaining territory in the Griffonian continent, while the Solarists increase their paranoia of the Griffonian Empire directly intervening in the conflict. As tensions grow, the fate of the world hangs on a thread.
