The Memory Stone is gone, and Sunset Shimmer’s friends have regained their lost memories... but her own memory has not returned.

Faced with the reality that her friends would lose their memories of one another, Sunset Shimmer dove in front of the magic shot forth from the Memory Stone, and watched as her memories of her closest friends left her bit by bit. In the end, this act allowed her friends to come out on top, and regain what Wallflower had taken from them in her quest for revenge.

With the memory stone destroyed, the question now is how to restore her memories. After all, who was she without the memories of the events that had defined her? Could she still be the same Sunset Shimmer that her friends remembered, or is that Sunset Shimmer gone forever?

Twilight Sparkle of Equestria certainly doesn’t want to lose a dear friend. But, perhaps, some things really are forever; some things once done cannot be undone.

When sunset learned about the memory stone as well as how little time she had left to save her friend's memories from oblivion she rushed to find and undo it was too late. With the unexpected, but welcome help of Trixi she found the culprit in one Wallflower blush. Yet when she confronted the vengeful teen who would see no reason Sunset made the choice to save her friends as well as prevent the memory stone from being used ever again.

Through her selflessness came at great cost.

Now her friends both in Equestria and Canterlot high have to deal with a side of Sunset that hadn't been seen since Celestia first took her in as a student. Not the prideful, arrogant mare who charged through the mirror at the false belief of power. But a scared filly as they realize the memory stone does not work exactly as they thought it did as they try to get their friend back.

It seems like a curse.

Wallflower is living a peaceful life in the big city. It is a place of comfort for her. A place for her to grow. But the place she has chosen is expensive and requires another person to help pay for the rent and utilities. It wouldn't be a problem for her except that every six months when the lease needs to be renewed, the roommate leaves for one reason or another and they never speak to her again. It has been like this for the past couple of years for Wallflower. The constant loneliness and stress of being abandoned. She needs a friend that she can be important for. One who would help her and make her feel wanted. Alas, it feels pointless for Wallflower to try. Everyone she knows eventually leaves her.

Then one night, Wallflower decides to go out and just relax. Enjoy the coming summer. It was during this night that she bumps into Sunset Shimmer, an old friend she hasn't talk to in a while. Turns out Sunset has been displaced and is looking for a place to stay.

So Wallflower offers her place to stay for the summer. But with each month that passes by, the two of them grow closer together. Will Wallflower be able to keep Sunset when the inevitable happens and they are forced apart? Will they be able to upgrade their relationship to something beyond just friends? Is there a way for Wallflower to break this curse?

Only time will tell.

Life for Canterlot High's master gardener has slowly but steadily began looking up for her. Since Wallflower Blush gave up her ability to erase the memories of anyone she so chose, she's understandably needed quite some time to readjust to making mistakes without a rewind button. It was difficult, so much so Wallflower almost considered giving up all together. But with some patience and support from an unexpected source she's finally semi back on her feet again.

However trauma and emotions of Wallflower's magnitude don't just go away with the passage of time, only fade into the background to be dug up one day. Sitting towards the back of the crowd at the Music Festival, Wallflower contemplates some of these resurfacing feelings.

Sweet and sour slice of life romance. T-rated for occasional profanity, jokes about spanking and mind control fetish, and mention of some films you definitely don’t want to Google. There isn't an archive warning for depression and negative self-talk, but there's lots of that. No self harm tho.

Sunset Shimmer, who is catastrophically out of Wallflower Blush's league, has come back to town for the summer. Sunset is very kind and attentive. She likes hugs. She keeps coming up with cute little inside jokes. She stares, piningly, when she thinks Wallflower isn't looking.
