For 1,200 years, on the first full moon after the harvest, Celestia has made the journey to the stone circle in the woods, raised in the memory of the Old Gods. Tonight will be no exception.

Inspired by some recent discussions on Reddit about which IRL religions the various ponies would follow. It struck me that Celestia, as old as she is, was probably a hardcore OG pagan in her youth--and likely still was, even if she had to keep that fact secret.

Thanks for FanOfMostEverything and Crack-Fic Casey for help with editing!

There are moments in a pony's life that are so usual, so basic and common that one could easily forget how unique they are.

Twilight is just in the middle of enjoying one such moment with the one closest to her, like she does every evening at bedtime.

EDIT: Yesterday was Mother's Day in the US, but I'm French and late xD Let us just say it was a fortunate coincidence!

Twilight has lived a very long time. She finally feels prepared to stop.

The inspiration for this story came one night after reading another, And Then Everyone Went Home by Noobblue. Please check it out, including its sequel In the End.

As they say, everyone's got something.

Tempest is many things.

Confused, mostly, but happy.

So she says, or at least, she tries to.

She's finally made it. A freak carriage accident left almost two-dozen ponies injured and several more in critical condition. It was all hooves on deck at Ponyville Hospital. Every moment counted, every dose of medicine carefully measured and distributed, every patient expertly cared for. If they wanted to help everypony, there could be no rest. There could be no sleep.

And they succeeded.

Now, after almost fifty hours straight without so much as an opportunity to sit down, Nurse Redheart is ready to go home.

You've been expecting her.

A day of partying, celebration, ceremony.

Twilight is now the crowned Princess of Equestria, effective immediately.

Day quickly turned to night. Jokes were had, memorable ones to be referenced for years to come with 'snrk's and quiet giggling that just couldn't stop once it had started. Twilight watched the hours pass by from behind her eyes, silently counting down the seconds between jokes and the odd retelling of a story. The sun went down, the ceremony was over. Ponies stayed, either the crew, the other Princesses, her friends. The night got darker, the grounds were cleaned, most ponies left, the train was coming.

Then...

Maybe it's the long-term effects of magic on the human brain. Maybe it's the eccentricity of genius. Whatever the case, Sunset Shimmer needs to defuse a sub-critical Twilight Sparkle, and she needs to do so before scalpels get involved.

An entry in the Crazy Cybernetics Story Contest. Rated Teen for suggestive concepts north of what EqG could get away with. Crosses over on the level of the tabletop game; no actual entities from the Warhammer universe appear in this story and no familiarity with it should be necessary.

You – Anonymous – enjoy toying with ponies. There's something that's addicting to poking fun at all the little miniature equines you ended up being surrounded by after some sort of freak incident brought you to their world.

All in good fun though... but that fun has different limits for others. Or doesn't exist for some. You found those some, and went a bit too far, apparently.

Actions have consequences, but that doesn't mean you have to suffer through them... There's always a silver lining, even if it comes at the detriment to someone else.

Just another one of those stupid stories that came out of a picture – in this case, a comic page I've had for ages in my moonhorse folder, but ended up sparked by the umpteenth time I'd seen it.

I sorta toyed with making this a longer fic once upon a time, but my enthusiasm and ideas with it petered out fairly quickly – but it ended up sort of becoming the basis which formed Midnight. It's why I keep everything I write somewhere, and there was enough of this I enjoyed writing to cut down a bit and let stand as its own oneshot.
