Part of the Destiny of the Ancients

It is the 41 Millenium and in the Imperium of Man there is one thing that everyone should fear; The Inquisition. With the mission of destroying heresy and chaos wherever it appears in the millions of planets that make the largest empire in the known universe, they have their hands full considering how dark the universe is. With dark gods ready to pounce on every single living being, heretic armies marching in and xeno scum ready to plunge what they see as a weakened Imperium.

Of course, not everything is lost, since Canoness Sunset Shimmer and her Order, the Sun of Eternity, the Solis Aeterni, is ready to defend the citizens of the Empire, or if the need appears, burn everything in sight.

Sadly, something went wrong and instead of appearing on a planet in the Imperium, they arrive at Equus were things are not what they seem, since a power even greater than the Dark Gods or the Chaos Marines has set its sight on the planet. Although they have their defenders, they are completely unprepared for the destruction and madness that will sweep across the land.

In this dark hour, where war is the only answer, can Sunset Shimmer make the difference between freedom and extinction for ponykind? Will Sunset even help, or will she burn the heretics, the mutant and the unclean as is her duty alongside her sisters?

Join me as we see how Sunset arrived at the world of Warhammer 40000 and how she began to ascend in the ranks of the Adepta Sororitas also known as Sisters of Battle, how she met her current team and how she could mean the end or salvation of every single universe.

See how she tries with all her might to keep her forces and new friends from killing each other, to create a front against the darkness and the mad power of the Warp and to create a new home for her and her Solis Aeterni.

A Warhammer 40k crossover in 10 chapters.

While traveling through the magic mirror between worlds, Sunset Shimmer touched upon the realm of Chaos, her course diverted. Rescued by unknown forces, Sunset awoke on a world besieged by daemonic incursions. While running from a daemon, Sunset comes across a dying member of the Order of the Cerulean Chalice, an Ordo Minorus of the Adepta Sororitas. Entrusted with a holy relic, Sunset is given the choice of taking it to the other members of the order, or dying on the doomed planet.

Suspicions surround Sunset on reaching the order, many questioning her nature and whether or not she was sent by their God-Emperor. Some loath her, seeing her as a xenos at worst, or a tainted mutant experiment of the planet's deceased lord at best. Others believe her sent by a Saint, or claim she is merely some form of abhuman. But none of them fully trust Sunset.

To prove herself, Sunset is placed among the scholla within the convent, all while coping with the loss of her magic, and in a new body. There she'll make friends and rivals, and either prove her worth to the Emperor, or die.

Burn the Heretic. Kill the Mutant. Purge the Unclean.

Sunset Shimmer ran through the mirror seeking two things: an escape from Celestia, and a way to get revenge. Meeting up with these strange creatures called "humans," she can say with confidence that she has accomplished the first of her tasks.

Now a student of Mahora Academy, Sunset, or Nichibotsu Hikaru as she's now called, must navigate the overly eccentric life of class 2-A, all the while keeping an eye out for any signs of magic. After all, how is she supposed to take her revenge without...

Sunset Shimmer, personal student of Princess Celestia, had a falling out with said teacher. Escaping through the mirror, she found herself in a world ruled by war, where dragons rule the sky, and demons lurk in the dark beyond.

Intent on returning home, yet prideful enough to not want to have nothing to show for it, join Sunset as she climbs the ranks of the Kirin Tor and sets out to be the most accomplished magus of her generation.

Sunset Shimmer, or Kyoku, as she was called now, found a much more unforgiving world beyond the mirror. Believing herself betrayed by princess Celestia, she was picked up by none other than the Manipulative Orochimaru.

Believing herself to had been saved by him, Kyoku served him wholeheartedly as a spy in the Sannin's former village, Konohagakure. Join her as she finds herself entangled by the webs of lies and commitments during her journey to find out what was most important to her.

After a fight with Celestia, Sunset flees through a magic mirror into a different world.

Without her horn, any direction in her life, the inability to simply go back home and surrounded by strangers, she has to go on a journey of self discovery to find meaning in her life as dark forces begin to threaten the world she resides in.

But, at least she still has her magic and plenty of instruction manuals to learn more from.

With her life in ruins because of Anon-a-Miss, Sunset Shimmer is abducted by an unknown entity and tossed into a strange new world populated by a variety of ancient beasts and tribes. After she arrives, she is found by a young castaway and together, they'll survive, face old and new challenges, and learn the truth about the ARK.

Note: Primitive Plus, references to Genesis, and other modifications in ARK: Survival Evolved is to be expected in this story.

The newest and hottest game on the market is Sword Art Online, or SAO. A VRMMORPG, Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, Sword Art Online takes the player into a virtual reality world of swords and shields. Only 10,000 copies were sold online or in stores. But quickly, things go wrong and the fight goes from fun, to survival.

To escape the game of death, the game must be cleared. All 100 floors of the floating iron castle, known as Aincrad, must be conquered. If you die in game, you die in real life. The NerveGear will fry your brain. The same goes if the NerveGear is removed while you are in the game, you die.

Sword Art Online is a game of swords and shields with no magic. The game isn't designed to handle their Equestrian Magic. Sunset Shimmer must make sure that her friends and guildmates escape the game, or at least survive long enough until the game is defeated.

This story is a Serial Novel Society story: Updates will be at least on a weekly, Tuesday, basis.

Somewhere in the multiverse, there is a bar. It's small—the kind-of a hole-in-the wall place which you might find open late at night while walking down the streets of Canterlot City in the 1920's.

But unlike most bars, this one is not actually there… or rather, not where you think it is.

The entrance to Sunset's Isekai will be found in passing; an archway made of stone, emerging from a wall that you could have sworn had nothing there before, and in fact seems impossible to actually lead anywhere.

There, a door of solid oak—lovingly worked and stained to look almost golden-red—with a thick, crystal version of Sunset's cutie mark at eye level awaits visitors under the soft light of a gas lamp.

This door opens to all worlds, and can only be found by those that need that drink to be just the right type of different.

Note: This fic is best read like nursing your drink - Don't rush it. Enjoy each flavor for what it is. Don't mix it all up by reading it one chapter after the other in one sitting. It's intended to (mostly) work in a way that each chapter can be read without having to tackle through the rest of the story. (Also, for the last time, the concept for this is NOT based on Restaurant to Another World or any anime.)
