An anthology of stories pertaining to Government in Equestria and beyond, especially the ponies that work in it. Each story will be tagged separately, but general tags will always apply.

None of these will be related. Most of them will be silly. All of it will be stupid.

Same goes for the stories. ba-dum, tish! :pinkiehappy:

Short Descriptions for each story:

  • The Star Court [Dark][Profanity][Comedy] - Celestia finds out where all the bodies are buried. Well, incinerated, if you want to be technical. Plus, a discussion about corporeal punishment, jurisdiction, and court-procedure.
  • Civics Lesson [Comedy][Slice of Life] - Applejack briefly considers Nepotism before getting a lesson in government she won’t soon forget.
  • The Royal Advisor [Comedy][Random][Slice of Life][Profanity] - Spike takes a tour of his new job location, and solves a financial crisis. With special guest, Raven Inkwell!
  • Ponies, Please [Comedy][Random][Slice of Life] - Have your papers, ID, and Visa ready at the checkpoint. GLORY TO EQUESTRIA!
  • Proscription [Comedy][Dark][Random][Violence] - Octavia and Bonbon have some business to discuss.
  • Chaos, CHAOOOOS! [Comedy] - The worst thing in this world, next to anarchy, is government.
  • A Question of Succession [Comedy][Alcohol] - Never ask Celestia for advice, or storytime. At least not while she still has the keys to the liquor cabinet.

This is a sequel to Midnight at the Crystal Library and Home Again.

Midnight Sparkle, once a figment of Twilight's imagination and her own personal demon, is now a normal human girl. And the latest member of the Sparkle family. Plagued by guilt and shame over her previous actions, insecurity at her origins as a part of another's mind, and uncertain over her place in the world, Midnight will have a long road ahead of her. But, with the love of family and friends, her sister Twilight, and even that of the Princesses across the mirror, perhaps she can find a place of normalcy, happiness, and acceptance in this strange new world.

A Sequel to Midnight at the Crystal Library, though the most relevant parts will come up in this tale at the appropriate time.

When Sunset Shimmer and the human Twilight Sparkle embarked on a study-vacation to the Crystal Empire, they never expected to get into a battle for the very survival of the world, against not only time-displaced versions of their friends, but time-displaced versions of Demon-Shimmer and Midnight Sparkle. But they did, and with help they prevailed.

Now heading back home with a spell in hoof that might finally make Equestrian Magic safer in the human world, Sunset and Twilight will discover that not all of their past sins are completely gone and forgotten. The Great and Powerful Trixie plans to bring a Great and Powerful copyright suit against her human counterpart, Discord has decided to tag along and keep things from getting too safe and boring, and Princess Luna takes a near-lethal dose of Pinkie Pie's proprietary coffee blend before dream-diving for the answers she seeks.

But what starts off as a rollicking good time for some soon becomes a harrowing race towards oblivion or worse. Pranks are pulled, worlds ripped asunder, the Dazzlings learn to cook, and dreams are unveiled. What sort of madness is this?

The Library of the Crystal Empire vanished for 1,000 years with the city itself, taking (and ironically preserving) ancient tomes of magic long thought lost to Equestria. Now, in order to protect their own world from Equestrian magic, Sunset Shimmer and the human Twilight Sparkle will plumb the library's depths, accompanied by Starlight Glimmer, Sunburst, and the Great and Powerful Trixie, in order to find the answers they seek.

But soon they are swept up in an experiment conducted by none other than Starswirl the Bearded, who seeks to aid a friend of Equestria, the infamous Tempest Shadow (Fizzlepop Berrytwist) in restoring her broken horn.

One magical ritual, a dose of dimensional-duplicate-insecurities, and a mountain of existential crises later, and... well. Let's just say that Starlight might finally have some company in the "I destroyed Equestria" club.

Amanda was never a very popular girl. She was always too strange, too eccentric, and her obsession with a TV show from years ago certainly didn't help. She lived a fairly bland, lonely life, but she never would have said she was unhappy if you asked her.

That all changes when she wakes up to find herself transported into that very TV show. And she's not just in Equestria; She's at the start of it all, the very first episode. Knowing she can't afford to let the opportunity pass, she leaps into action, ready to join the adventure and help the Mane 6 along their journey!

Things rarely go so neatly, though, and before she can even meet Twilight, she runs into a pony who, by all accounts, shouldn't be there. Trixie is in Ponyville, and she can't believe what she's hearing. The story is just too unbelievable.

How could she be a villain?

Sucked into a reluctant alliance, Amanda—now a pony going by Starfall Sage—must try to steer Trixie towards a good ending, but as she'll discover, that's a lot easier said than done.

Sunset Shimmer, personal student of Princess Celestia, is the most gifted Unicorn in Equestria. She has long-neglected personal connections in favor of studying and ambition. Celestia, concerned by her student's behavior, searches for a way to help her student grow as a pony. Sunset now finds herself teaching her own student, a bookish and anti-social young Unicorn named Twilight Sparkle. Can the two form an actual connection, or will their anti-social tendencies lead to disaster?
