There's a lot of Human-to-Nightmare Moon stories out there, and very few Human-to-Daybreaker stories as far as I know. Here's my take on a pegasister who gets transformed into edgy sun horse. Literally. Daybeaker has very sharp regalia.

Wastelands. Dystopias. Playgrounds for megalomaniacal villains. Each time Starlight forced her into a new world, it was just another variation of Tartarus that she was glad to leave behind and forget about. Unfortunately, thanks to over thirty timeline jumps, Starswirl's spell has gotten worn and frayed, forcing her to stop in this latest world to repair it. Fortunately, things seem relatively peaceful. Unfortunately, Twilight soon finds out the reason for that peace is...complicated.

The earth spun through space. Basking in the light of the sun on one side, and of the moon on the other. The eternal dance playing out as it had for untold years. The sun roaring and bright, the moon cold and aloof, while the earth sat in between, bustling with life and growth. Below on the expansive surface of the world, in a country, in a village, in a house by the forest a yellow pegasus walked out the door to check on her animals. She was not particularly brash, nor brave, or all that strong of will. And the day was not of particular importance. Still, on that unimportant day, the unassuming pony would uncover a long held secret.

A thousand years ago in Equestria, Princess Luna’s frustration and isolation grew as the bond with her sister, Celestia, weakened. Just as Luna’s jealousy threatened to consume her, an unexpected discovery shattered her fragile mind. Alone in Celestia’s private chambers, Luna found her sister’s diary, revealing years of hidden criticisms, exposing how Luna had become a burden, unfit for the throne.

The realization that even Celestia no longer valued her broke Luna’s spirit. Feeling unloved and unwanted, she decided to leave—abandoning Equestria and everything she had known. Her abdication, however, was only the beginning of a journey that would take her into forgotten lands, full of hidden dangers and dark powers that would change not just her fate, but the course of the world itself.

In the dead of night, a forest fire wreaks havoc on the Green Mountains. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, having been at the right place at the right time, are valiantly fighting it. The fire, however, refuses to be quelled.

Before the two are able to fetch help from nearby towns, they hear the crying call of something that is in trouble. Something big. Something fast. A sound that could only be one thing.
