Pinkie Pie receives a letter from her sister and leaves to return to her village. Caramel, after seeing the terrors that have fallen on the town, follows her. Edger is finally decides to confront his past as well as the source of the peculiar waves of energy that burst through Ponyville and the surrounding areas. All of these events lead back to one place - the village of Flatts.
