Fluttershy liked company.

Well, most of the time... some of the time... it depends.

A cup of tea and a few cookies here and there weren't anything new to her, but someone sleeping over? That was out of her normal range.

Now, how about them sleeping over consistently, without ever leaving? That was weird.

Images of the Breezies surfacing in her mind, she realizes that she'll have to tell her company to go home.

But this wasn't like the Breezies.

This was Discord.

When Fluttershy and her friends come back from their mis-led adventure conducted by the Master of Chaos as well as her best friend, Fluttershy decides that maybe now should be the time to have a talk with the draconequus. Realizing that there are things that even she doesn't know about Discord, Fluttershy comes to the conclusion that it's always better to be open about your feelings...no matter what.

This story was writen by my good and dear friend Atomicpuffin, who sadly is not longer writing for eh MLP fandom. This is a great shame, because she truly did produce great works of fanfiction that really deserve attention. If you would like to read more of her stories click here. However, because of complex reasons I wont go to much detail into, AP has turned over the ownership of What Happens in Las Pegasus over to me. Now I want to make very clear that this story, even though is legally own by me, is the work of Atomicpuffin. I claim no credit for the creation of this wonderful story what so ever.

Now, I'll sum up shortly what happened. I was writing a genderbend of this story, with permission from AP of course, but i ran into difficulties with publishing. Long story short, to save me the trouble, AP thought it best to turn over the ownership of What Happens in Las Pegasus to me, which I am truly grateful and honored.

Once again, for those who haven't read this story or the other works by Atomicpuffin, I highly encourage it. She is a wonderful author and a true, true friend.

Discord and the girls go to Las Pegasus for a much needed vacation and to strengthen their bonds of friendship. Of course the best laid plans are the first to fall to pieces. After one night of fun the mares wake up to find a few surprises from the previous night. None more so than one pair who wake up to find they got a bit more than they bargained for...such as gold bands.

Discord doesn't know what to do. He knows he has feelings for Fluttershy and wants to tell her everything, but after the Tirek fiasco he doesn't know how to face her. When he runs into Fluttershy late one night, the truth bubbles to the surface, whether he likes it or not.

Set directly after the Tirek incident, Fluttershy and Discord are suffering, alone and apart. Fluttershy may have forgiven him, but she feels that she has failed her friend, and longs to understand Discord. Why wasn't she good enough, why did he betray them? Why hadn't he cherished their friendship as much as she had?

Discord, on the other hand, struggles from the pain of his own guilt, and doesn't even know who he is anymore. He doesn't want to lose the closest friend he has either, but he's positive that their relationship will never be the same again. He can't stand it.

They're falling apart, and the magic of the earth isn't happy about it. Then a cloaked stranger comes into the picture, and plants a mysterious flower...

Fluttershy only utters a simple request. "I wish I could understand you, Discord..."

Little does she know that such a wish entails much more than just an understanding...and her wish is granted in the most chaotic of ways--and the only one who can help her is the very friend she is trying to understand.

Chapter Descriptions*

Nuzzle: On their way to a picnic after the Tirek escapade, Discord gives Fluttershy a gift, and in return receives affection in a puzzling way he can't describe. With the help of his friends, can he figure out what happened?

Cuddle: Fluttershy is sick, so Discord decides to take care of her. He'll get her back to health...and keep her warm.

Fly: After helping an injured bear and her cub, Fluttershy must make her way back home in the middle of a storm. Her wings too weak for the winds, she gets hurt. Who will save her? And why, oh why was she born a Pegasus if she cannot even fly? Only love can save her now.

Confess: As all of the gang enjoy each other's company after helping Applejack out at the farm, a misunderstanding happens between Discord and Fluttershy when they are caught holding tails while having a snack with their friends. They have a fight, and Discord leaves them all with a broken heart. Can Fluttershy and Discord work things out? All they have to do is fess up.

Date: After a week apart, Discord asks Fluttershy, his friend-turned-marefriend, to help him 'decorate his room'. But is that really what he's up to? Could it be...a date? But why would he lie?

Celebrate:It's been a year since Tirek's defeat. Dreams bother Discord yet again, and Fluttershy is acting suspicious around him. It becomes clear to him that she's keeping a few secrets from him, and he needs to figure out why.

Tirek continued to laugh, mocking him, mocking them, and Discord felt an anger like no other burn him up deep inside. He shook with rage and just focused his gaze on the ponies and the little dragon in the cage. Blue eyes met crimson and that's when a yowl tore from Discord's throat.

What if the battle with Tirek had a different outcome, that nopony in Equestria could have predicted in their wildest dreams?

Ever since the Tirek incident Fluttershy has just gotten worse and worse. She's grown depressed and keeps her feelings pent-up inside, barely leaving her cottage. But this proves to be too much for her and after one stray thought, everything that's been piling up inside spills out.
When Discord sees just how much he's hurt her, he takes it upon himself to heal all the damage he's caused.
The process will be long and slow, but he needs to be there for her and assure her nothing like that will ever happen again; he needs to prove just how much she means to him.
