Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, and her friends (minus one obvious apple) are preparing for the annual memorial, when an unexpected castle guest threatens to disrupt the peace in Ponyville forever.

A journal was found. Old and weathered with years untold. The first entry was dated yesterday:

My name is Twilight Sparkle, and for the last 33 days I've been stuck in a time-loop, repeating the 23^rd of March, 2 A.R. It is still unknown how the loop started, nor how I can end it. All I can say with any amount of certainty is that time for the rest of the world resets every night, and every morning I wake up it is the morning of the 23^rd.

Twilight Sparkle was living a fine, happy life. She had 5 beautiful best friends, a lovely pet dragon, and was the student of the princess of Equestria. She was studying the magic of friendship, which led to her having a very happy life. It was as perfect as could be.

Things didn't stay that great after long, however.

Now, Twilight Sparkle has been imprisoned in a dark abyss. No sunlight, no air. No memories on why she was there. No way out.

Her legs had been transformed into deadly weapons. She was now a threat. She wasn't allowed to be around anyone anymore.

Why was this happening? Where was she? Who did this? What happened to her legs?

Apple Bloom is tired of being on her own. With time stopping for nopony and a great, bright beacon calling to her, the little earth pony makes one of the hardest decisions of her life, and embarks on one last crusade with her friends.

However, one friend is not so quick to accept the truth. Can a certain little white filly learn to cope with the thing she fears most - saying goodbye?

Rainbow’s face darkened. “Cozy, I’m not asking you. I’m telling you. I need to know how we end.”

Something flashed through Cozy’s face, something Rainbow vaguely thought of as fear. But it passed and Cozy hissed, rubbing her forehead. “Fine. You want to know how you two end?”

There was a second of silence filled by the wind.

Cozy’s eyes burned red when she spoke again. “One of you will destroy the other.”
