After building so much trust for her, his apprentice takes the potion he is meant to guard. Though she does not realize how much of a curse the potion is to those who are foolish enough to take it, the main issue is that his heart is broken. Not simply in the metaphorical sense, but also in the "blasted out" kind of way. Forgiveness does not seem like an option, but revenge may also be quite hard to accomplish.

Real:
So...I have never written a story. And I rarely dream, which may be from the fact that I think so much before I fall asleep. A few nights ago, I just wanted to sleep, so I couldn't really think of anything before dozing off. Aaanyways, I dreamt this up, but decided to just go write it down, I hope it doesn't suck too much. And it likely will just stay as a single page.

The day had begun so great. As part of her training in the world of darkness, Sweetie Belle was going to spend a day at the menagerie with her friends. When she arrived at the home of her friend, she finds that the house has been taken over, and her work as a hunter of monsters begins before she ever has any real training.

Ever since she summoned the spirits of her departed parents on Nightmare Night, Scootaloo knew she wanted to become a spirit medium. Early on in her training, she decides to try and understand what it truly means to be a liaison between the dead and the living. With the help of a mysterious stranger who seems to know much about the ways of the spirits, she soon finds that being a medium may mean facing against the evil that the dead have done, and how readily it can consume her.

It has been a week since Apple Bloom and her friends have gone to live in the world of darkness, and Apple Bloom has already come to a block in her education as a witch's apprentice. Frustrated, she invokes dark forces to help her. But she finds that the price for meddling in such things may be more than she is willing to pay.

Every single sentence this author wrote made the story come to life in a BIG way! I didn't once feel like I was reading a story. I felt like I was experiencing it, like I was right there, in the characters' shoes, feeling what they were feeling, seeing what they were seeing. It also helped me to get a better understanding of each character and love them on a deeper level. For example, let's take one paragraph from the story:

This kind of vivid imagery is found throughout the entire story, and the characters' voices help bring out their personality in meaningful ways that help you bond with them, to learn to love them beyond what the comics or cartoon give you. This was a no-brainer as the most well-written story in the contest.

Vinyl Scratch never wanted to leave her hometown. Joining a brand new school in her senior year certainly doesn't help, either. At least she made a few friends, one in particular being a large apple farmer. But is it just friendship, or something more? In a world of change, only one truth stays the same for Vinyl. High school sucks.

This is my first human fic. I always like toying around with unique ships, and I've only seen one or two Mac-Scratchs. Except a lot of fluff, and not much else. I started this as an experiment, and to try something new, so constructive criticism would be highly appreciated. And of course, rate and favorite if you enjoy!

The story begins with our favorite wall eyed mail mare out on her rounds. Little did she know the effect a large well mannered pony would have on her.

I prefer to call Derpy, Ditzy. Its a kinder name but both i think fit her.
