Vlyka Velveteen has always been an odd-looking pony: short for her age, dark coat, and what usually gets ponies attention: the four sharp fangs in her mouth, two of which so rudely never sleep behind her lips. By age 15 Vlyka has gotten used to the odd looks, and while her confidence in herself has never truly recovered she at least knows how to put up with the odd looks. But, of course, such skills do not come from nowhere.

Time ticks back to six years ago, where a young, cutie-marlkess filly up in Baltimare struggles with herself. Adopted by a loving family, Vlyka can’t help but feel indebted to her father and sister for putting up with such a freak and trying to raise her well. The fangs in her mouth seem content to stay, marking her even more as abnormal, and by now ponies have realized she has strong senses of hearing and smell. It’s a win for Vlyka that nopony but her family knows about her color vision problems, as that would just be more fuel to the fire at this point.

A new school year begins with Vlyka, once again, being pushed forwards a grade. Unprepared for the grade skipping and cruelly still a grade below her older sister, Vlyka has been singled out by her new classmates as a prime target for terrorizing. Unwilling to burden her family with the news of her distress, Vlyka keeps her pain to herself. But the added strain grows, there is only so much that one young filly can take…

Three mysterious shadows make their way towards Canterlot...

It's been all of two weeks since a freak ice storm in the middle of summer, but around Ponyville oddities are a dime a dozen. Winter Whisper's stopped getting strange looks, and life has moved on like normal...with the exception of her new relationship with Midnight Storm, of course. But for two first-timers in one relationship, things can be awkward and slow going for a bit. Will a step into a heart-pounding music festival help them find their hoofing?

Winter Whisper has long known there was something different about her. Her warm nature was long at odds with her cold touch and icy white coat. For a time, she was happy to let the mystery stand, content with the life she's chosen to live away from the suffocating grip of Canterlot and her parents' desires. But when Winter's past refuses to leave her alone, she'll be forced to contend with the changes, or lose everything that she's come to know and love.

As her life threatens to grind to a halt by an untimely visit from her parents, Winter's unusual ice powers grow out of control. Seeking to contain herself, Winter must journey far from what she knows, and hopefully find the source of what makes her such a different pony. The journey for the source of her magic may grow perilous, but will the love and support from her closest friends help Winter overcome the risk and find her place in the world?

My name is Frosty Winds. I was just your typical, rank-and-file Enclave scout. I had an ordinary life, living in contentment among my loving family and good friends. Things were good.

At least, I'm pretty sure that was the case; I honestly can't say for certain anymore. One moment, I was being recruited to take part in a routine Wasteland scouting mission, and the next moment I wake up as a prisoner of the Steel Rangers.

On the bright side, I’m not missing much. Just all of my memories. And my left foreleg. Nothing important, really. Pile on a disease I’m not vaccinated against and being a few clouds short of a weather system probably doesn’t make any of this much better.

As if that wasn't enough, apparently I made a deal before I lost my memories. If I don't complete my task I agreed to within a month, I'll die. Of course, it would be helpful if I could remember what the agreement was.

So here I am, floundering aimlessly about the Equestrian Wasteland. I have absolutely no idea what happened, what I should do, or how to uncover the secrets that lie within my stolen memories.

Help. I need an adult.
