Pre-canon. During their time in Flight School, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are friends - at least until the new transfer student, Gilda, monopolises Rainbow Dash's time. Fluttershy is genuinely happy Rainbow Dash has someone she can practise flying with properly, but life can get lonely for a pegasus who just wants to go down to the ground for some peace.

After an incident with a pair of bullies, Fluttershy does something drastic to her appearance and Rainbow Dash must return to her role as friend and reforge the bonds between them that have grown so thin.

Flurry Heart accidentally finds her special talent one day at the Crystal Palace. She discovers she can speak the long lost language of “Ou-wou”. Or at least, that’s what her parents are saying in public. They'll probably never talk about this again.

According to both Cadence and her brother, Sunburst has been acting weird as of late, and he doesn't seem willing to talk about it. When one morning he disappears, and rumours are heard of him being at a bar, Twilight, who is visiting the Empire, decides it's time to check up on the unicorn and figure out what exactly the problem is. The answer turns out to be a peculiar one, and certainly unexpected.
