The gang at CHS have lived with the guilt of their actions, relieved that Sunset survived but desperate to break the ice wall she built between them.

Just when they thought hope was lost, Sunset contacted them and later agreed to meet with them.

For the past year, or so, Rainbow Dash has not been living comfortably in her own home. Her father walked out on her, and her mother has become a heavy drinker. All of that alcohol intake has caused Rainbow Dash's mother to be physically and verbally violent towards her daughter. The athletic Canterlot Highschool student has yet to tell a soul on what is going on at home. This is her struggle.

Anybody could tell you that a high school worth of students would never be enough to conquer a whole world right? A part of Sunset wanted to die the night of the Fall Formal. In a way she succeeded.

The magic did its best to put her back together again, but there's a reason everybody notes that Sunset is like a new person after the Fall Formal don't they?

It's almost like a new Sunset was born that night... and she needs help in becoming a real person again.

Trigger warning - At some point in the story, characters may discuss heavy topics, such as suicide, cutting, violence, teen pregnancy, homelessness, among others. This is the story I will be channeling my darker side.

In the process of living a full life, the joy of having friends doesn't come from their large numbers. Instead, it is found in the depth of the emotional bond between two individuals. A bond that persists through trials and hardships that serves only to nurture and grow the person that is the other. It is a bond that can only be established between true friends.

Yet, it is also a bond Wallflower Blush believes she will never experience

Vel had always been interested in Wallflower Blush. She, among other people, stood out the most in his eyes. And it wasn't just her straightforward attitude nor her simple yet charming appearance which motivated him to approach her but something else entirely. Somewhere deep inside he felt a connection with her, a connection which he couldn't explain no matter how much time he spent thinking over it. Even before he had introduced himself he felt like he knew her.

And it felt like she knew him
